The COVIS briefings are a waste of time, especially for high level management.
Bring in some knowledgeable briefers, brief the public, take questions and bring answers back at subsequent briefings.
Use PBS since they are heavily subsidized.
This strategy will do a couple of things. It will deflect this escalating argument between the press and the president and we all know that the Press is what they are and the president isn’t taking any lip but the situation needs to be diffused.
Secondly, this will drain PBS of some of their dollars because it will be using hours and hours of airtime to broadcast briefings and perhaps it will knock them in the head a little bit as to what they really are and maybe what their focus should really be.
Well, the national press corpse is working for the democrats, and their RINO-Neo-con-repubbie allies against Trump. Who are working for the social-communist-racists, who are working for the Chinese against America and the conservative parts of the UK and Israel, so .... yes.
I think the president is right to keep “doubling down” on this. The reason is, because of the irresponsible reporting of this by the media. They knew perfectly well that the President was not suggesting anything dangerous but, alas, there are people who will think because the president supposedly said this, the press kept reporting it, that this is a good idea recommended by the president. So the president, to protect the gullible, needs to keep this up — and “I was only joking” is a simple straight-forward way to let people know that they should not do this.
Every time an American looked at an item for where it was made in it came from China. Now China’s reliance making everything was being threatened by a change in leadership in America which was a major consumer of those products. When Americans hailed their leaders decision to make many of them in their country US. Their politburo worried.
Worse yet opponents to the Chinese regime in power had its citizens protesting its policies , as in Hong Kong, since that change in American leadership wave the American flag and present his name when doing so. All of which presented those in power the need to destroy that leader Donald Trump.
Would a runaway plague created by a nation which could threaten populations of an enemy cause them to react by demanding extreme restriction of movement by its population to prevent its spread ? Thus wind up fragmenting its economy and create defeat for that leader’s upcoming election.
To stop the return of manufacturing of products back to the US that went to China. China backers here who’s family members are making millions from China through their political connections will be hit hard are also claiming that Trump’s alleged stock ownership in a quinine pills maker claim its a controlling interest in a product to be totally ineffective and when used requires a severe restriction of movement when near a possible carrier known as a shutdown because of its rapid transmission .
....... I don't mind him doubling down on his remarks ..... My big Bone of Contention is that he now says he was only Joking .... That is what he is now doubling down on. I saw the briefing and it did not appear to me that he was just "Joking" .... But that he was asking an intelligent "Out of the Box" question. To now insist that he was only Joking seems rather disingenuous to me.
