Trump calls for journalists who covered the Russia investigation to return their 'Noble Prizes' in Twitter rant before deleting it

President Donald Trump lashed out at the media on Sunday, telling them to return their "Noble prizes" for their reporting on Russia, before he swiftly deleted the tweets.

In a thread that's since been deleted, he wrote: "When will all of the "reporters" who have received Noble Prizes for their work on Russia, Russia, Russia, only to have been proven totally wrong (and, in fact, it was the other side who committed the crimes) be turning back their cherished "Nobles" so that they can be given to the REAL REPORTERS & JOURNALISTS who got it right."

... As "Noble" began to trend on Twitter, Trump pivoted to claiming he was only being sarcastic.

After deleting the thread, Trump later tweeted: "Does anybody get the meaning of what a so-called Noble (not Nobel) Prize is, especially as it pertains to Reporters and Journalists? Noble is defined as, "having or showing fine personal qualities or high moral principles and ideals." Does sarcasm ever work?"

I think Mr. Trump needs to find some way to take a few days off, and I mean off from almost everything. These are the kind of unforced errors people make when they are just tired out. This should be done before the convention month. He’s only human.

The man is obviously just worn out. I couldn’t deal with a fraction of what he’s handled day in, day out for years.
Nancy Pelosi and The Impeachment Lunatics constantly, openly plotting against him does not help either.

I wish he didn’t tweet everything that passes in front of him (...imagine if it was a Democrat President who used to tweet the same exact content/frequency that President Trump did - the reaction on FR to the tweets would be very different). However I somehow understand why he does it. He not only never gets any respect from the media, but he is constantly targeted by them. Constantly. They also tried to go after President George W Bush, but it was NOT to the level they have gone after President Trump. It must be very frustrating to him, and as much as he doesn’t let it affect him I’m certain some of it gets through his aegis. Not only that, but attacks also come from with the GOP. Even from within the White House itself. The last 3.5 years have been constant bombardment, and I can assure you lesser men would have folded by now. With that said, I wish he didn’t have to tweet everything. His fans don’t need it, and his detractors will only use it against him. I genuinely think the man could solve world hunger and the media/Left/(even)Right would find something ‘wrong’ with it. Also, I genuinely worry how the Left will write the history of President Trump (I focus on the left because changing demographics seem to make it appear they will be the majority in 15 or so years).

The didn’t go after Bush like they did Trump because Bush was one of the globalists and they were happy with his administration. Obama’s presidency was little different from Bush except for a few cultural cues.

Trump is an existential threat to globalism and THAT is why they attack him. It has nothing to do with his tweets. That is also the reason he MUST use twitter. It is the only way his message gets out to 78 million people at once...unfiltered. It also means HE sets the narrative for the day.

I am glad he tweets. The main people against it are democrats, the MSM, never Trumpers, and the genteel people who think the Bush demeanor is just about right.

That “Noble” tweet does make me wonder what “prizes” our self appointed aristocracy of the msm and professional white collar criminal politician class have gifted themsleves for their efforts to undo Trump.

I also enjoy how it pulls out the weak and sniveler types from among our “own” as well.
