Mumbai programmers are just as good as American programmers.

Just ask Boeing about the Mumbai programmers who worked on the Boeing 737 MAX.

Ah, yes, High Value Engineering Centers. I work for a major global engineering company that uses such places, again, Mumbai. A lot of projects are supposed to have 80% HVEC content. Yeah, right. A lot of re-work has to be done stateside, so where are the savings, when half the stuff out of Mumbai is dreck?

The Mumbai programmers had nothing to do with the MCAS system. MCAS was fully developed and tested at Boeing’s Seattle center by US workers, per Boeing. Some sites had been pushing the connection because it makes for sensationalist clickbait headlines. But that’s all it is. Sensationalism.
