Agreed. Once people are not buying airfares or trips to DisneyWorld or boat cruises or even McD’s or Burger King like they used to because of all of this, this hurts the advertising bottom line which in turn of course pays for these mindless idiots on TV or in newspapers.
Bet if you were to compare a major daily newspaper published in 1960 or 1970 versus one now, you would probably see that good deal more space devoted to advertisements in the newspapers of today compared to back then.
I quit watching the news about a month ago. Unfortunately, my wife turned the TV on a few days ago and there was a local TV news idiot, smiling as he declared that Clay County Mo. health was extending lockdown till 15th May, he even repeated it with a grin, that’s the 15th not the 4th. Fortunately, his declaration wasn’t even correct as they had revised it the night before and things will reopen on the 4th.
