Well said. Trump was doing the bidding of Fauci and Birx who want their gate keeping guidelines strictly adhered to. He would do well to find alternative expert opinion. Based on real data, it is obvious that the virus has spread far wider than thought. It is poor public policy to continue our containment and mitigation strategies.

If that’s the case actually all the more reason to engage in herd immunity. Get around those who could possibly infect you and develop an immunity so it’s not a problem later.
Sooner or later you have to re-open. Is it better to re-open while your immune system is still good or wait longer as it gets less active every day you stay home and weakens?

I don’t believe most polls, as I think they’re pushing the outcome of whatever they’re polling, but too many people agree with the continued lock down.

That agreement will continue as long as people are getting an extra $600 per week in their unemployment payment. Once that runs out, grownups will realize that they can't live on unemployment forever. In the meantime they can continue to subscribe to Netflix and eat $12 ice cream bars like Nancy Pelosi.

And there really aren't that many unemployed people right now; I realize that 20-some million is a lot, but that means over 100 million are still working or at least not claiming unemployment. Air passenger traffic is down 96% according to some report I saw on a local Chicago news report, but how many TSA agents are being laid off? They can't all be frisking each other, can they?

And let’s all admit this is a ton of crap resting on his shoulders. He’s brave and seems like the energizer bunny when it comes to the fake news and democrats, but I can only imagine how hard it must be to be perfect when everyone has got their “hate” magnifying glass on you.

It is a WORLD crisis, caused by China, and China alone, but because we have an election in November, and the global DNCMedia hates Trump, the whole thing is his fault. They only care about defeating him in November.

Key takeaway. These data make the containment strategy a joke. Expanded testing will just continue to increase the number of cases fueled by millions of asymptomatic people. Add to that the new antibody testing that will reveal who has already had the disease and you wind up with these huge numbers. Tracking and tracing becomes a mindless and futile exercise. It is like shoveling sand against the tide. End the ridiculous house arrests now. Set up measures to protect the elderly and those with underlying conditions and let the rest of the country get back to work.

The solution to getting out of this comes from the private sector, not the government. Removing a government-imposed lock-down means a restaurant owner, or bowling alley owner, or hair salon owner can come up with acceptable safety requirements. What we need here is Walt Disney or Henry Ford types, who can dream up a future and figure out how to get there. We DON'T need Bill DeBlasio or Anthony Fauci or Benito Mussolini types putting the rules in place.

And of course, just as a matter of intellectual curiosity, I look forward to finding out what solutions the porn industry will implement in these days of new normal. That group would certainly have to find a way to deal with social distancing rules and regulations in order to survive and make a profit.

drugs that have a decades long track record of working like chloroquine, arithromycin,zpak,zinc,vitamin c,d and so many more already mentioned here.

Which probably "cure" way more viral infections than just the current ChiCom bioweapon.
