With Justice for None: Destroying an American Myth

by Gerry Spence

Renowned trial lawyer Gerry Spence takes an in-depth look at the American justice system and reveals a terrible truth: If you don’t have power or money, then you likely won’t receive justice either. The wealthy buy their way out of trouble, while the poor are punished. In an effort to combat this corruption, the author devises a number of reforms, tackling issues in every area of the system from law school to the courtroom.

The 80% of honest cops, lawyers, judges, prosecutors will not rat out the corrupt 20%..

Plus if they hate you ...they will get you with he lied to the FBI

Like my old Law teacher once said, after seeing yet another news report about a lawyer arrested for corruption,

“why do 95% of lawyers have to go ruin it for the rest of us honest guys?”

So what does that make the 80%? They are completely spineless pieces of schiff.

I don’t believe that at all. The poor aren’t punished. In New York City and other American big cities if you do actually go to jail you almost certainly have a laundry list of criminal activity in your past. And forget about your sealed juvenile record which is never to be seen. When the black Chief of Police in Chicago talks about how a suspect who is already awaiting trial on an assault charge is arrested again for shooting someone and then is released without bail and on the same weekend shoots someone else, you know you have a problem. And the problem isn’t that you’re poor and a minority and that the criminal justice system is skewed against you.

I think you have the percentages reversed. At least 80%, probably a lot more, are corrupt.
