“Then what disinfectant was he talking about? Clorox?”

I’m just going to assume that you are being deliberately obtuse for effect. There is zero reason to think he was talking about Lysol or Clorox. Believe it or not a disinfectant is something that kills of microorganisms like bacteria and viruses. It is not at all inconceivable that a drug can be developed that disinfects the body of COVID-19. Not the best word choice, but there’s no need for people who don’t have Trump Derangement Syndrome to spin it in ridiculous ways.

Secondly, he absolutely did not suggest that anyone inject themselves with anything but was talking about further scientific research that could be done. But good job at keep up the silly propaganda. Is it safe to assume you blame Trump also for the Darwin award winner drinking fish bowl cleaner because Trump talked about doctors potentially using a long-standing drug by prescription for treatment of the virus?

On hard surfaces, yes. Spray your counter with Clorox or any other disinfectant and you'll kill bacteria or viruses that are there. But once in the body then it's a different matter. Want to fight bacterial infection in the body? You don't use a disinfectant, you use an antibiotic. Want to fight a virus in the body? You can't, except in very limited circumstances. Viruses, like Covid, run their course.

I don't know if Trump was talking about antibiotics or antiviral drugs or whatever. But he threw out a completely inappropriate term, 'disinfectant'. A term that the whole country applies to household cleaners. So of course the media is going to jump on it and try and make Trump look like a fool. And Trump took the bait and helped them make their case.

Secondly, he absolutely did not suggest that anyone inject themselves with anything but was talking about further scientific research that could be done.

He talked about injecting disinfectants and maybe that would be worth studying. As the expected response since then has shown, there is nothing to be gained by studying whether injecting disinfectants is worth the effort. It isn't.

Attack people all you want - it was a bad sound bite. an unforced error. Your quote: ‘Is it safe to assume you blame Trump also for the Darwin award winner drinking fish bowl cleaner because Trump talked...” -—I read that in soyboy falsetto/bully voice. So, not convincing at all. Let us all move on.

Actually the plasma treatment that is now being tested widely in hospitals across the nation is precisely that...an attempt to inject something that will “disinfect” the patient of the virus.
