Exactly.
Lungs are translucent, so the UV light should be able to penetrate quite a lot of lung tissue, IMO. I see very little in the way of risk by such a procedure compared to the risk someone in critical condition from the coronavirus faces.

This is where a professional source such as Dr. Ben Carson would have been very helpful. I do not know the Surgeon General enough to judge his credibility yet. Something about him seems out of place in that White House role.
Someone else in the Trump administration is going to need to clarify what the president was alluding to in a concise and crystal clear manner. The sooner this is done, the better.
As much as possible, the president should allow hired specialists to describe any suggested treatment. Mr. Trump does a fantastic job as president, especially considering all the sabotage games that the Dems have played on him ever since 2016, but he is not a scientist or chemist by any means.

You’d be surprised. I was on the local Fox page via FB trying to educate people. The truth is - that is what they live for. Like teenage girls gossiping. They really have no interest in what’s important and/or new findings. They’d rather waste their time on repeating what the TDS MSM spoon feeds them.
People bake their bodies daily in tanning beds....and sniff, inject and smoke themselves with all manner of illegal substances.....and somehow live through it all....Trumps inquiry wasn't the least bit out of the bounds of possibilities when you consider all that is done to the body inside and out today.

I’m no expert, so I may be full of it, but the most modern swimming pool technology doesn’t use chlorine or bromide to clean the water. They use a UV light system - no chemicals, and all those nasty germs, viruses and candy bars are cleaned. Given that, it doesn’t seem too far fetched to use UV to kill a virus. Is it possible to scope the lungs with UV light? Seems to me it would be given the ability to go into your body through every orifice and major arteries (e.g., heart catheterization), but highly unlikely to reach every where. But, I am no expert. There’s nothing wrong with Trump questioning/wondering out loud. It’s a hell of a lot better than rejecting ideas outright.
1) UVC Does Kill viruses and bacteria. 2) Sunlight and fresh air are in-fact anti-Viral agents. 3) asking if there is a way to take advantage of these known facts in some way, for a non-medical expert/non-scientist is a reasonable question to ask given facts 1 and 2.
If Dementia Joe had the wherewithal to even think of such a thing the Media would declare the question pure genius.
