I call BS! Nobody in their right mind wants to stay locked up in their house. But, maybe 60% of Americans are not in their right mind.
Thank you, Grampa.
Things like heart stints have been classified as non-essential....one could make the case that heart surgery is life threatening but evidently it’s not...
True if you get shot or have a stroke or heart attack you will get treated but not enough of those happen to keep hospitals and their staffs employed if this goes on much longer...
“except fear and isolation. you refuse to admit the human cost of lock down. Have a nice weekend!”
My wife and about 20 other church members, who are good on the telephone re communicating, call a group of members, about 20 homes once a week. Homes with at least one adult church member. There are all age groups from young families to people in their 80=90+/
The purpose is to check on them, help them if they need food/?.
Most people they call are very happy and most don’t need help.
However, recently they are finding out that some of the elderly living in nice retirement homes are just giving up and dying with no apparent real illness besides isolation and loneliness.
They get fed and the basics. They are not allowed to communicate/interact in person with other people where they live.
The latest was a 95 year old man, who had out lived his family members. He came to our church and attended services and the social functions. He went to concerts and the weekly travel bus round trip to various places and usually a great lunch. Often local entertainment, like music was provided.
Those functions stopped when the shelter and cower in place went into effect. He told his church caller that he was “dying of boredom”.
We can’t visit these people, meet them at the church, play cards with them or just chat with them in person. In fact if we meet them on our church grounds, they and we can be arrested.
If this keeps up, it will become shelter/cower in place and die of boredom.
Yes, and that is or will be killing the smaller wineries. They can’t effectively advertise.
They often get life long customers via the tasting rooms. The good ones do okay with established customers ordering on the internet and getting home delivery.
Also, there no wine tours. The tour drivers knew the good small wineries and often stopped at one of these as their last winery of the tour. Many tasters became regular wine buyers.

We have a friend out here, who qualified for stent at the end of March. That was cancelled, and he has zero ideal of when he will get one. A 40 something in law needs a stint and he has the same issue. If he has a heart attack and survives, he can get a stent while in hospital. No outpatient stent like I got about a year ago.
A few years ago, I had a hammer toe go nuts and had extensive foot surgery over a 100 stitches and enough screws in it to set off alarms in airports and at the Giant baseball gates. It took forever to recover.
Now, I have another hammer toe going wild on the other foot, and I was scheduled for an outpatient surgery to have that toe lopped off at the end of March. Than has been cancelled until ???
“First of all outside the medical profession very few know how to fit and use masks. Second it has been shown once masks are saturated with exhaled moisture (about 20 min) they lose any protective qualities they have.”
Here is a recent article dated 8 Apr, 2020 discussing face mask usage. According to this article, there has been no extensive study of home made face mask effectiveness. Somebody decided that it is probably better than nothing and issued the edict to use them.

I had a friend who made it in just before hammer dropped, he had knee replacement surgery and spent the first month of the lock down rehabing on his own, which is not ideal..
I’ve had hip replacement surgery and I had outpatient in home therapy for 2 weeks after the surgery and then 3 more weeks on physical therapy at a local facility...
BS study.
1600 is the minimum you need for a valid study and if you are doing it in various places you need that many people in each place.
The rest of America called on their cell phones simply hung up.
No one answers their phones anymore unless its someone they know.

Yeah. You can.
You have a greater chance of dying from a auto accident then you do from the Wuhan-400. And that is even if you happen to catch it.
Heheh
The original Wuhan-400 had 100% fatality rate...
I believe I said that you cannot recover from COVID-19 Death.
My wife about every year and a half has an outpatient procedure where they immobilize her and put her into semi sleep.
Then, she gets an injection into her cervical neck/spine. That reduces the pain and makes it tolerable until the next injection.
She was scheduled to have this done on 13 March at 1 pm by the only doctor, who can do this procedure. She was told, do not miss this procedure date.
She had the outpatient procedure done.
The next Monday all “elective procedures” were cancelled.
Like your friend, she was very lucky. She got it done before the hammer dropped.
Friday the 13th turned out to be lucky for her.
Because most Americans are lazy
They love it
When the Government is paying a lot of People more money to stay Home rather than go to work, what do you expect?
Unemployment PLUS $600 a week, WHO EVEN CAME UP WITH THAT?
Why are People on Social Security getting a $1,200 Check? Did their regular SS Payments stop?
Things like this are the problem when you rush Bills through the Legislature to show people you are “doing something”.
We thought the Fraud with that $50 Billion post Katrina Bill was bad. You ain’t seen nothing yet.
Flame away...
So I disregarded the illogical part of your scare tactics.
You should thank me.
Not his best book but looking a bit prophetic at the moment.
