Dr. Vivek Murthy, former U.S. surgeon general under the Obama administration, expressed some frustration with the U.S. response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Unfortunately, we were a bit late to recognize how bad this was as a country,” Murthy said on Yahoo Finance’s The Ticker. “We have been late, also, when it comes to ramping up testing, which we desperately need. And we’re also still having trouble getting the materials, particularly the protective equipment that health care providers need. We’re making progress over the last month, but it’s unfortunately nowhere near where it needs to be if we want to feel safe to relax social distancing restrictions.

I did agree,even if it was Cpt. Obvious,that testing was always key from the beginning. Testing will continue to be key even as we get back to whatever normal may bring.

What did this anonymous Obozo hire do to prepare for a pandemic? They left the cupboard bare after their lazy response to the Swine Flu, but everyone cashed their pay checks.
I wished these yahoos would give a timeline and show where eary\late comes in ...when they make these accusations.
Everybody seems to be ignoring Pres. Trump’s timeline, but I don’t see\hear anybody questioning it.

Even though more has been done than for any other illness in the history of the country? If he’s got anything that could be an improvement over more than we’ve ever done, he needs to spit it out. Otherwise keep the beak shut. You aren’t playing anymore. If you were that competent, you’d still be around.
Additionally, he was active with environmental issues and wrote letters to the NRA critical of them. Not things attached to his job. He had his own political agenda and it matched to Obama. That’s why he was relieved and replaced by a nurse from his own staff by Trump.
