Sorry about your area getting the full treatment.
Doesn’t seem right does it. I’m not totally convinced it’s
right anywhere.

Question to Gov. Dewine today. “What is your reaction to why you have folded.”?

It struck me how quickly every little berg on the planet had one case. It struck me that someone was trying to make this into a global pandemic come hell or high water. That is SO right .

i hear ya...
Use the states sheet near the bottom of the report.
I have a total run for all states. You can look at the
NY figure and get a rough estimate of the impact is is
having on the overall numbers.
Same for Cases and Deaths.

These reports are being put out to give folks a place to look to find some numbers that will remain stable over timeThank you. I find your data every helpful and appreciate the work you do to put it together. Its just that I have what I consider a healthy skepticism about the source and reliability of the numbers being provided to you.

I think any thinking person can see your point. There is
only so much we can do.
Looking back at other infectious disease situations, we
only have the numbers to look at. Imperfect as they are
for the reasons we recognize, it’s still all we have in
the end.

“””I think there must be federal dollars in on this somehow.”””
Of course there is. There was no reason for New York to reclassify 3500 prior deaths and call the deaths due to corona virus.
New York will suck at the Federal Teat for as long as we let them.
It is time the American Public starts the ‘weaning’ process and gets the states who are reluctant to do anything to open up to get with the program.
The state health departments have gathered plenty of demographic data to know who truly is at risk.
Those who are at minimal risk need to get back to work and the high risk people need to stay in their bunkers.
While the greater New York City and New Jersey metropolitan area has a problem, there few reasons to keep the rest of those states locked down.

Ya, in the short term for sure. Let’s give them another bounce or two.
