There are a lot of people who are ruining the country right now, according to Michael Savage. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Liberal mayors in big cities like San Francisco. Undocumented immigrants. Homeless people.
But for the past two months, listeners to Mr. Savage’s conservative radio show have heard him howl with unabated contempt about another menace: “The pimps” in the right-wing media “who tell you what you want to hear.” They are “intellectual dwarfs” and “science illiterates,” he says, who spent weeks downplaying the threat from the coronavirus epidemic and accusing President Trump’s opponents of exaggerating it to hurt him politically.
On Mr. Savage’s broadcast, which has one of the largest audiences in talk radio with 7.5 million listeners each week, the virus has never been a hoax or a bad case of the sniffles. He has lectured his fans on the research in detail: How it is transmitted; which treatments are proving effective; and the difference between morbidity and mortality rates.
With no small amount of self-satisfaction, Mr. Savage reminds people of his credentials — a Ph.D. and training in epidemiology — and of the fact that he was one of the few voices in conservative media who had warned them all along.

Well, I did used to listen to MS quite alot. He was all over the place as far as conservatism was concerned. My son and I used to joke about wondering which MS would show up today. The pseudo conservative or the hippie liberal one.
“They downplayed the Corona virus threat!” “They exaggerated, spread hysteria and are ruining the economy!” So, which is it? Seems like it depends on who you are talking to, and who the enemy is. Right now, I am tending to forgive both sides for not understanding the COVID-19 threat at first, and now are wondering how we undo the damage it has caused?
One thing seems certain: The Chinese Communist government lied, distorted, destroyed evidence, killed whistle blowers... all in order to somehow save face.
They MORE than f*cked up. Our “scientific experts” started out with fraudulent information, built policies on said lies, and now we point fingers at each other. I say, blame the guilty party, the Chinese Communist Party.

He has personal animus against anybody more successful than him - like Rush, Levin, Hannity. He has a huge inferiority complex, and has to tear down others to make himself feel good.
Listening to him is like walking on a mine field - you never know when he’s going to blow up in your face.

He wrote Disease Without Borders which 2016 which is helpful.
I listened to Savage on KSFO in San Francisco in 1998 for two hours a day.
Positives: Savage is a very smart guy, insightful, and witty.
Negatives: Savage is a typical member of the “chosen group” who rejects the proven resurrection of Christ and the Catholic invention of hospitals. Savage is ignorant of Providence, Fate and Chance.
NYT also has members in the chosen group which is why the NYT honors Savage.

Which makes you wonder what his true core values are. He claimed in a book that he’s not religious and waffled on whether or not he believed in God. It’s hard to take seriously someone who appears lost themselves.
Yup, that’s why I stopped listening to him many years ago. He did crack me up a lot though.

Savage can be quite good when he’s on his meds.
I think Mark Levin has grabbed market share from Salvage by providing a more consistent political commentary without turning his show into, a nightly, autobiography.
Savage has an audience who likes his stories from his past. Yet many more wished he’d just maintain the same passion while staying on topic.
It’s called narcissism. While I would never go as far as Bandy X. Lee and assign someone a diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) without personally observing their behavior to determine if they exhibit at least five of the nine behavioral characteristics necessary for the clinical diagnosis, it is quite obvious that Michael Savage has at least a few of them.

Tucker has admitted he was was wrong, and modified his position in recent weeks, once he acknowledged the models were unscientific, non-peer-reviewed, and from people with an agenda.

What’s really crazy and something I can’t figure out, is what is going on in New York.
I just ran the numbers a few minutes ago. New York has 40% of all confirmed SARS-CoV-2 cases, 46% of all deaths...and only 5.9% of the population of the United States.
How does that freaking happen???
