Meh. It’s not that Tucker did well. It’s that the governor didn’t really make an argument.
Example: Tucker repeated the claim that thousands of people die from influenza annually. The governor accepted that questionable claim and didn’t argue with him.
Example: Tucker said a man was arrested for sitting alone on the beach. The governor said he didn’t know the particulars of that story.
(Tucker is wrong. The man was cited, not arrested, and police often cite people caught on closed beaches.)
To be clear, NO state should be banning gatherings in the private sector, although states should issue strong guidelines and advisories.
But states have every right to control public parks and other publicly funded places.
