The governor has been providing regularly scheduled briefings at 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to provide the latest updates.
On Monday, he provided new details on a Virginia-specific model from UVA, talked about statewide responses at long-term care centers, and said he would have a decision by Wednesday on how long to postpone the re-opening of non-essential businesses.
Last Friday, he announced plans to establish a nursing home task force, proposed the release of inmates with less than year left in their sentences, and emphasized a need for volunteers.
On April 8, he announced that he was postponing Virginia's June primary election and recommending that local elections in May be postponed to November by the General Assembly

I am having increasing reservations about what Northam is doing.
I simply can’t understand why Virginia isn’t schedule to re-open until June 10th. That is the very last state in the country.
I understand that we may be 2-3 weeks behind NJ, NY and CT. But that doesn’t translate into June 10th.
The recall process in VA is very difficult.
Just accept “the new normal”. No where have I heard that before?

Northam is following the Obama Model...attempting to push right of center Virginians into some sort of reaction that will justify declaring martial law and draconian restrictions.
Northam must be stopped. It doesn’t appear possible to recall him or limit his tyranny within the existing Virginia structures so other means need to be found.
Did he say why he chose June 10th as the date? He should had said May 15th because that would give him 30 days of data to make a decision.
One can’t help but wonder if all these petty Stalinist @holes have clue one as to how much actual HATRED they’re creating.
