California Outlines Six Requirements Before Lifting Home Detainment and Reopening The Economy…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | April 14, 2020 | Sundance

Posted on 04/14/2020 7:51:20 PM PDT by bobsunshine

To get ahead of any federal guidelines allowing states to re-open their economy, Governor Gavin Newsom is outlining the terms and conditions for California. Please remember the key words that all totalitarian minds use in their language. When you see the code-words: “challenge“, “opportunity“, “partner” or “support“, pay extra attention..... California will not lift their lock-down orders until the government has:

(1) The ability to monitor and protect our communities through testing, contact tracing, isolating, and supporting those who are positive or exposed.

Do we have the ability to identify contacts of those who are positive to reduce further transmission? Do we have the ability to test everyone who is symptomatic?

Are older Californians and the medically vulnerable living in their own homes supported [under surveillance] so they can continue appropriate physical distancing?

While I know it’s cool to hate CA, I think a lot of it is jealousy.

Sure, it's bloody f'nnn Paradise out there.

Here's one of your neighbors just California-dreamin' away!

An excellent response from the Sundance site!:

PDJT is waiting to see if there are complaints. No complaints, nothing for him to do.

If people complain about governor’s orders infringing constitutional rights, and no ability for redress? Then that’s when the Feds can get involved.

PDJT wants to see how badly we want our freedom.

Thanks! Quarantines are supposed to keep the small amount of sick people from going out!

They are not for keeping the vast majority of healthy people locked inside.

Looks like my phone will be in my office 24/7!

At first, I didn’t understand this comment.

Now I do.

That was always the goal. Shut down Trump rallies because Biden can’t draw the crowds. Push for absentee ballot no in person voting. Trash the economy, ruin the unemployment rate we have had.

You believe that looks like all of CA?

You could take that picture in any city in America. Any of them.

And if it were in my neighborhood, the old women would beat him with broom sticks or turn the dogs loose on him.

So I chalk you up as one of the jealous one’s.

Do you mean one of the jealous ones?

Shows the quality of Kali skooling, even for an old fool like you.

I know too damn well how Californicators go about their filthy business, as tens of thousands of them have moved to this region, where they have proceeded to stink it up in most every way possible--chiefly, and most destructively, at the ballot box.

No one gives a rat's butt how much you worship the ground you walk on.

We just pray that you and all your many crappy associates stay the hell away from here.

electronic payments scheduled to be taken out of your checking account will come out even if you don’t have enough money to pay them.

so if you pay something online for say $150 and you only have 100 in your account, you will then have minus 50 bucks left.

If it’s paid by a physical check, it will not be paid, but you will have a NSF charge from your bank and a late fee from whoever you were paying with a ‘bad’ check.

Bank agreed with me and reversed the charge and had all future charges blocked. Seems even a customer service agent at the loan company had it flagged for ACH cancellation. Claimed computer foul-up. Still owe and will pay and honor the loan, but only after re-employment. Went ahead a made a partial payment today to keep up my end of the bargain.

Turned off the overdraft feature of my account. Won’t happen again.

If people are expecting someone from the government to tell them when it’s safe to leave their house....that’s not going to happen.

The sheeple need to awaken and join the Gridlock movement.

Oh, by the way, a automobile gridlock protest is happening today in Oakland. They are demanding that the jails here be emptied. They are not protesting to end the quarantine.

Exactly. This is the point that seems to be missed by the media. Quarantining typhoid mary (a proven carrier who refused to stay home) is GOOD. Quarantining the entire population for months because a few unknown individuals are carrying a virus is well beyond the scope of precedent.

I may be in the US some time or other, but I will never ever set foot in California. Natural beauty, but human ugliness that even Dickens never dreamed of.

If “science must be the guide not politics” how about Governor Nusance stops playing Medical doctor, and cancels his house arrest medical diagnosis.

Cause a political answer to that is civil war to overthrow his illegal rule.

The larger attractions like professional sports (NBA, MLB etc.) Disney and other national music parks will probably somehow survive, however I suspect many of the smaller regional attractions will never reopen at that point.

I dunno. From what I've heard about Disney, they're really hurting with everything being closed and no movie revenue right now. There was an article here a couple days ago about Disney possibly closing one or more of their parks.

As to professional sports, they'll be ok if the other States get going. Most professional organizations have a revenue share, so some teams get money from other team's direct income. BUT, with so many teams, CA is one of the bigger revenue groups, so it'll hurt everyone if they turn into a taker instead of a provider. Smaller teams (AA/AAA baseball) aren't independent - they're completely attached to their professional teams, so even if they only have two butts in the seats, they (players/team staff) still get paid. Stadium staff, eh probably not so much. I assume NFL/NBA is similar.

This proves to me that engineers and not politicians and scientist should tun the world.

A Constitutional amendment, requiring Prezzie / CongressCritters to have an engineering, business, or medical degree? And minimum five years in the private sector thereof? I could support that.

What has the shutdown done to property values?

Not much, and you bet the local appraisal guy isn't gonna lower your valuation. Even if it does affect them, it'll take quite a while before loss of value is reflected in home sale prices.

That said, I need to argue my valuation. My county just sent me the 2020 appraisal, and they're trying to lower my house value by $15M, but raise my land value from $60M to $90M. So I have a $15,000 increase overall, (so maybe an extra couple hundreds in tax charges) despite my value 'going down'.

This is Texas, by the way. Rockwall County, just east of Dallas.
