Michael Flynn’s former legal team said they recently uncovered emails and handwritten notes they “inadvertently” left out of a cache of documents they turned over to the former national security adviser’s new attorney last summer, according to a court filing Thursday.

Lawyers at Covington & Burling said in a filing that the emails were missed because of technical errors and they mistakenly overlooked the handwritten notes.

Notice that inadvertently is underscored to convey the author's doubt as to the. law firm's explanation. Then later in the article it's revealed that the judge had to order them to cooperate with Flynn's new team. Wtf?? What is up with Flynn's former lawyers and were they trying to screw him over?

Flynn’s former lawyers just discovered them? With the story breaking on Holy Saturday? Baloney. Sidney Powell should be chiming in on this come Monday.

Who’s going to be surprised to find out his former lawyers were in cahoots with the feds. They turn over documents like the FBI.

Inadvertent is simple malpractice and financial liability. Intentionally withholding documents that can help your client is working for the other side and should justify disbarment.

Covington & Burling is a VERY Democratic law firm that is very aggressive in pushing leftwing causes; they have a number of ex-Clinton and ex-Obama White House types there, including one Eric Holder who make millions of dollars annually. Whoever directed Gen. Flynn to use this bunch is beyond me; i’m not saying they did anything wrong, I don’t know, but I do find it odd that key documents are now being “found”.

There is an “errors and omissions insurer” out there somewhere who is not too happy just now. But more than that not so much.

Why the DOJ even continues with this case is baffling. A waste of money as Trump will probably end up pardoning him as with Manafort, just a matter of right timing.

There have been allegations that this former law firm incorrectly filled out paperwork for him regarding his lobbying activity when it was unnecessary to do so. Those incorrect submissions that likely did not need to be filled out were part of the allegations against him.

I would argue if a person uses a law firm or an accountant in good standing and that firm (not the person) screws it up, they should not be liable for the mistake.

Another point NOT in their favor - they are a beltway firm. Lest we forget, pretty much the entire beltway was betting that Trump and Co would not make one year into the Presidency because of all the fake news flying around from people with “gravitas.” It appeared to me that they were anxious to settle the case from day 1 with little thought to defending him beyond draining his life savings. Perhaps I am too pessimistic.

Are we suffering from the delusion that that particular Law Firm is HONEST.

IT IS AS THOUGH EVERYONE WHO IS A LEFTIE WAS IN ON THE ATTEMPTED COUP. REGARDLESS OF THE PROFESSION. THEY WERE ALL TAINTED IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.

No wonder Barr is taking so long. JUST LOOK AT WHAT HAS BEEN DISCOVERED....IN THE LAST FEW DAYS.

Maybe the old team should get a felony-level contempt of court citation “inadvertently”, of course

And for the last two years or so of Sidney Powell's involvement, the FBI/DOJ had not thought to claim that it had handed over all those exculpatory documents, with dockets dates, mail receipts, etc?

Oooo, the penalties here could go well beyond disbarment!

“Flynn should sue to get all the money he spent on them back.” AND THEN SOME.... he lost everything, his home not the least among the losses. Totally outrageous.
