Coincidentally, Chief of Staff to RDML Baker, is 4 striper full Captain Steve Budde (aboard the carrier, and twice former Capt. of two CGs, Guided missile cruiser, including USS Cape St. George). The Roosevelt being the Flagship of Strike Group 9.
The CNO’s ordered report of all comms, said “letter” etc.- is due today. NIS and DIA have been on this.

Lt Bligh’s (I think he was a Lt during the ordeal?) amazing navigational skills to make it from BF Nowhere to safety is overshadowed by Christian’s charm. It has been awhile since I researched it all, but it was a mini obsession of mine for a while. Christian’s family definitely had better PR. :)
