I suppose there are about 6000 doctors then who you think are idiots, who successfully use Hydroxy-chloroquine based therapy (Plaquenil).
The old paradigms of drug approval do not work in a crisis. Those who are on the front lines fighting this disease are signalling what works but the profession clings to the “drug testing “ process established when we have plenty of time? We do not have that time. So what is your agenda?Politics now enters the care arena as governors and some insurance groups prohibit the use of this drug ? SICK! Many will die because of it, and when the hostory of this epidemic is written, you will be on the side of draconian plutocrats and fools.
Crisis brings about the necessity of what is called an asymmetrical assessment of risk. I can’t see what is so difficult in this.Its life or death for so many on this issue.

Guayaquil is Covid-19 “in the wild,” with little or no modern medical care available. Hospitals are overrun. Sick people wait for days outside the few hospitals for a bed, and are told to just return home (to get better, or to die.)
End stage Covid-19 is BRUTAL without palliative meds: morphine++ etc. You slowly suffocate and drown in your own pink frothy lung fluids. Most Ecuadorians dying of CV die at home. Hospitals have collapsed, there are virtually no ventilators or ICU beds or staff in the First World meaning.
Those pushing for “herd immunity” via “let it run” aka “It’s just the flu” should watch the news reports from Guayaquil.

Just google or Youtube search “Guayaquil, Ecuador” for a Coronavirus reality check. This is a huge story around Latin America. And they are just starting in Guayaquil, they are about where Northern Italy was a month ago. It’s getting worse and worse by the day.
And it’s not lost on the news anchors (in Spanish) that the numbers in Colombia and other South American countries are just a couple weeks behind Guayaquil, “The Gateway to the Pacific Rim.”
The recent outbreak is blamed on crews from ships from China, and also Spanish travelers “bugging out” to their Ecuador 2nd homes.
I don't know why...but seems the Neuro Doc's were/are potentially more inclined to be weird..not idiots though.
Worked with a GP Doc...that was very introverted..and if you didn't know him...you would think he was REALLY, REALLY odd. Great Doc though...
