Funny, we don’t know if hydroxycloroquine is an effective treatment for Covid-19 because there haven’t been any controlled peer-reviewed studies of its effects, so the media finds it irresponsible and anecdotal to even mention the possibility.
But there are no controlled peer-reviewed studies of this heart-damage from Covid-19. Why so eager to report, then?

I remember you using deaths per population early on to reassure people, when it was meaningless and had no predictive power.
I remember mentioning HCQ + Azithromycin and you saying you weren’t sure azithromycin. And telling you I had seen an article that it had some anti-viral properties especially in the bronchial tubes. You came around. At least you learn.
I remember a couple of weeks ago, you saying that NY had a 0.6% case mortailty rate and dropping. And I think I told you that while I hoped it held, it was too early. That other locations were starting low and rising. What is the case mortality rate in NY now? 3.4%. Dr. Fauci was low balling when he said 1%.
You’re making the same mistake again with the NY drop in deaths. One day doesn’t a trend make. Again, I hope it is the start of a trend. And some point the social distancing should take effect in the new case stats, and new treatment protocols in the deaths.
And to put some meat in this humble pie I’m serving up, my “formal” clinical training amounts to 2 hours of CPR training from the local fire department. But google is a great equalizer. I’m not discounting your education. The medical knowledge out there is too vast for anyone to know it all.

I’m a bit paranoid of going back to work in 3 weeks. The virus hit so quick I didn’t develop a fever. My temperature actually dropped 1.5 degrees from the night before to the ER. I was put on anti-virals and antibiotics right away so I don’t think I built anti-bodies for whatever I had. Not sure I could weather another bout of that anytime soon.
India is the largest supplier in the world and they cut off 1/2 of our supply. Are you saying that they have announced that they will deliver more to us? That would be great.
Well Chris37, if you appeared in my ICU, you would get world class and cutting edge care and according to the last stats run on me you would have a significantly better chance of survival in my hands than other doctors in other institutions. So, if you can’t throw insults and not expect some pushback, well I am sorry, take your snowflake perspective and head on over to DU. You will feel more comfortable there no doubt.

What I do know is that the woman who you have attacked of having little intellectual curiosity is on the way to her hospital to treat this very illness today. she is a front line doctor and she is also raising the next generation of doctors.
What I do know, is that the woman whom you say has no intellectual curiosity is one of of the brightest minds in all of medicine, having earned her degree significantly earlier the most and with highest honors.
Your judgment of no intellectual curiosity is the definition of narcissistic delusion and if you want to wage an intellectual curiosity war with her, to quote the movie — you are way out of your league.
