Bitt, don’t apologize for your open mind and intuition about part of Einstein’s body of work. The only question is have we been able to apply the science and make it a reality.

personally I’ve had it with people mocking others about this very subject.

For crying out load, satellites validate this is proven science every moment of their orbits...their atomic clocks have to be adjusted to match the time we experience here on the surface of the earth...their clocks are slightly ahead of ours...if they didn’t make the adjustments then our GPS data would be wrong...so, the question is why do the satellites have to make the adjustment to make this work...the answer is they are experiencing a slightly different time than we do because of their speed...time is not static.

Having said that, the difference between what I stated above and something like Looking Glass is significant to put it mildly...Einstein showed us the math, the way...his work is not science fiction.

And this CO is a USNA grad 1992 i think... and none of this makes sense— unless he is a McRaven type a@@clown lining his pockets.

He transitioned from helicopters to F/A-18 Hornet, on the Nimitz in Operation Iraqi Freedom. At one point he was commander the 7th Fleet’s flagship (political ju-ju alarm), and then completed Nuclear Power School from having been exec on the Ronald Reagan. Just do not get this-— unless there is some SanFran type “social culture” issue, which also can’t imagine.

Crozier should have stayed out of the enlisted showers.

Do it because you were ORDERED to do it.

Oh BS. I don't remember doing anything much while on active duty on a sister of the USS WH Batesfish because I was ordered to. I mostly just did my job, which included standing engineering and deck watches, training, supervising maintenance and enough admin that I kept they XO off my back.

You got in trouble not for violating chains of command or disobeying direct orders (I almost never received what I would call a direct order and almost nothing gets done by just complying with orders and regs or strictly following the Chain of Command), but because you didn't do your job, which was doing your part towards running and fixing the boat or because you embarassed the ship by not doing your job and then topping it off by advertising it to the world.

And I sure didn't spend my time ordering around my subordinates who were trained experts on the maintenance and operation of specific pieces of equipment who knew far more about their stuff than I ever could.

Sure orders are there and chains of command are there and you respect them, but it's a bit like tying your shoes - it's something you sort of do, but it's not where your head is at while you are trying to do a very complex job that no one else can do for you.

This follows pretty much a set pattern for commanding a bird farm. First you must be pilot [Fighter or attack usually]. Then you have to learn to run a surface ship which you do by commanding some sort of auxiliary or other]. Then, since a carrier is nuclear powered, the Division of Naval Reactors insists that you graduate from nuclear power school and then spend time at Naval Reactors.

I do not want to suggest for a second that Crozier was not a good officer. He was obviously, in fact, a fine officer. The simple problem was that he was not suited for command. His real failing here was failing to take the initiative to employ the resources of his command to address the problem that was facing him. Everything else was secondary to that, and had he been doing that part of his job, he probably would have survived this - with a curt note from all sorts of places not to embarrass the Navy like that again.

It is a long arduous route to get to command of a carrier, few make it and you don't just dismiss them on a whim or on a violation that would get a junior sailor consigned to extra instruction.

He was dismissed for poor judgment undermining confidence that he was fit to command a warship. It is that simple.

Just how well paid was this “captain” to permit sailors to have leave in a country where this virus is?

A lot of very high level people are involved in the decision for a Port visit. The ship's mission and movements are directed by his superiors in the fleet. The decision to visit the port is one thing you cannot particularly pin on the CO.

And for all his responsibility a carrier CO is compensated according to published pay scales pertaining to any O-6

Here’s some more brilliant comments from mccaffrey-— who should no better as he is NOT in possession of the facts— only what he, the political animal he has always been (Counsel on Foreign Relations, supports vocally illegal aliens because they are the “backbone” of US Agriculture....!):

Biden a wonderful man. Experienced. Kind. Not prepared to lead in this crisis. Fragile. Tentative. Dem’s need to collectively think about America’s future. The nominee needs to be strong. A leader. Cuomo. Klobuchar. Others. Sanders needs to back out.

Then a few days prior to this a huge touting of that idiot woman Whitmer of Michigan—— honestly.

So what is evident is he KNOWs Biden can’t be elected unless they steal it, and then it will be the VP. Klobuchar is a damned idiot-— truly stupid woman. cuomo—no chance.

"When the Commanding Officer of the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT decided to write his letter of 30 March 2020 that outlined his concerns for his crew in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak, the Department of the Navy had already mobilized significant resources for days in response to his previous requests. On the same date marked on his letter, my Chief of Staff had called the CO directly, at my request, to ensure he had all the resources necessary for the health and safety of his crew"

I'm calling bullshit on this. This is nothing but lying bullshit by the SECNAV in an attempt to cover his own ass.

In the very next paragraph the SECNAV claims to have called Captain Crozier personally. This is also bullshit. If he had, Crozier would have never send his email. Why would he if the SECNAV had spoken to him personally?
