Same here, for both my dogs and horses.
Apple flavor or not, horses don't like it. Trust me. lol
That's the way to go if you have a lot of dogs. You can get the liquid at a fraction of the cost of Heartgard. Just have to make sure you get the dosage right.
Warning - if you find yourself neighing and struck with a sudden impulse to chow down on some hay, you may have taken too high a dose.
I have been researching this stuff to use for my dogs. I diluted mine in peanut butter, and dose them each month for heart worm. As for how much to dose with this stuff for humans, for scabies, the dose generally used it 200 micro-grams per kilogram. This stuff (0.21 ounces at 1.87% concentration), is dosed for a 1250 lb horse, also at 200 mcg/kg. Its about 6 grams per tube (.21 oz) So each gram should be good for a 200 lb human. Also this stuff is pretty safe for humans, doses as high as 10 times stronger have been used before.
THAT said, I dont know what the dosage for C-19 mitigation would be. The studies use a 5 micro-molar concentration, which in vitro, killed like 99.9% of the virus. I dont know what the dose would need to be in order to get that concentration in human tissues, but a quick, probably wrong back of the envelope estimation done by me, said something like 4000 micrograms per kilogram. I dont know if thats even close to being correct though.
Its been used by 10s of millions of people, massing treating entire populations excepting small kids, in areas with oncocerciasis with excellent results. There at least is some US data in mass treatment of nursing home staff and residents to clear scabies infestations with it seeming to be well tolerated. So it might be an option for those who can't have the hydroxychloroquine for some reason. Main potential problem of the drug is neurotoxicity, which is how it kills worms, scabies, etc. However in normal humans over age 5 or so it doesn't cross the "blood brain barrier" so doesn't cause problems. There are a few rare circumstances in which that barrier doesn't work and those people shouldn't take this. Conceptually its another swallow ready treatment, cheap and safe for the vast majority at 'standard' doses. Whether it actually works needs some volunteers and a trial. Given the alleged current covid19 rates and severity that could be done in a month. Trump may need to bash some heads at the FDA to gain permission for it.
We don't really need to kill 99.9% of the virus, just enough to survive without significant organ damage or needing intubation.
YUP; six dogs once a month, cost is cheap compared to heartworm treatment.
Heartworm treatment for the big girl was 2300 bucks, for the little girl it was 1400 bucks.
Don’t ever want to have to go through that again.
But they sure beat the price of having to take your boys or girls in for heartworm treatment, NOW THATS EXPENSIVE!!

Yep, and as an aside, it could certainly work for Hillary.
Oh. Thanks for correcting me. Thats the one I did acquire.
Hahn will object
Yup. Administer these drugs to the terminally ill and document the results. Scientists and academics live in silos with no common sense.

Give the smug little bureaucratic creep some fish tank cleaner, and kick him into the corner where he belongs.
Is this the same drug that was used by a man that cured his stage 4 cancer last year?
I still have two of four left.
The question is whether they’ll miss ME if I go first!
..and have some left for your neigh-bors; too!
Well, the common cold ended up saving earth from those visitors to Grover Mills; way back then.
Be SURE to get Ivermectin, and NOT something with Inversection in it!
