The entire country, experts I trust tell us, must be shut down. Businesses shuttered, many with little hope of opening again. Ten million people unemployed in two weeks. Ten million. In that world beyond that Hudson River, an economic hammer is falling faster than the virus can spread. Who can think of money at a time like this? we are told. How callous. But it’s not just money. In its own way it’s lives, it is a way of life.

But where is the difference? What is life if not the ability to sustain it? We are embarking upon the devastation of an entire nation when it is becoming clearer and clearer that the gravest threat lies in megacities. And no city is more mega than Gotham.
The counter point is that the virus will eventually spread from New York and inevitably infect the suburbs, exurbs, and rural areas. But in Europe and here at home that isn’t what has happened. In Washington state, where the first-recorded American cases occurred in Seattle, the number of cases has flattened. Why? Well, as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has pointed out, the population density and public transit usage in New York City makes us violently susceptible to this plague.

and its not all of NYC- its a few areas in two burroughs, Queens and Brooklyn, thanks to illegals, sanctuary citites and the rest.
The main question is for Mr. Cuomo and DE Blasio. Aren’t sanctuary cities and states wonderful? When unvetted illegal residents arrive in New York State, they should be issued N95 masks, ventilators and a coupon bed reservation in a NYC hospital.
On top of this, we now hear rumors that NY is “estimating cases” inflating their numbers to get more federal money.
Considering that NY is accounting for some 90,000 (approx.) of US cases, this is nuts. This is the “model” for the rest of the country doing their whole hog shutdown—”this could happen to you in a week” paranoia.
We’re just not seeing this kind of crazy numbers outside of heavy urban areas. Where people have their own cars, their own residences that don’t share air ventilation with hundreds of other people in giant buildings and take sensible precautions when going out.
Their superior leadership will see us though as long as the mayor can hit the gym and the mob can keep moving those ventilates Cuomo keeps hiding.
Both should be hung from lamp posts.
That’s why also every celebrity is claiming they have the Coronavirus, to further give the impression this thing is more widespread, Fredo is in on it, I bet he doesn’t have it at all.
NYC is a politically corrupt cesspool run by a combination of a##holes, criminals, arrogant theifdon lords, un intelligent personnel in high places that follow orders. They were arrogantly ill prepared for what was coming, the NYC health commissioner was on all local news channels early on convincing NY ers to go about their daily lives, ride the train, ride the busses, socially meet with friends for dinner and a show, the dope from park slope deblasio was also on the news telling NYers that the pandemic coming was nothing more than the average flu, go about your business. When cuck Cuomo was asked by a reporter about the 4000 ventilators that were in a warehouse after he was on TV screaming we need 40,000 ventilators he told the reporter oh, the 400 ventilators? we don’t need them yet. These scumbags are the reason why NY is the epicenter and they are the reason for the high death toll! period! And the talking a holes on the news are parading Cuomo as the DNC presidential hopeful?
Nanzi Jezebel Pelosi, for one. And she's more than willing to destroy the country for the sake of removing Dr. Trump from office.
Andy Cuomo has no intention of giving up his daily face time on major networks now begging him to run for President. He is doing everything in his power to create chaos for the cameras. I dont know why lefties think his incompetance is presidential.
