Thanks for the daily feel good moments, Danny.

You’re not quite to Travis McGee or RummyChick level, but getting there.

Today Virginia Governor Ralph Northam encouraged all Virginians to wear masks in public, stating that he has been setting the example for his fellow Virginians in using proper PPE by wearing masks to avoid Covid-19 for more than 30 years

I agree with your conclusion, but a spike in demand is always a problem, unless a buffer is built anticipating the demand.

Worldwide demand likely outstrips worldwide capacity right now.

The thing that makes me feel good, is when problems get identified and resolved.

I think if we had enough masks for the medical community and the public, and we got everyone to wear a mask, we wouldn’t have to do as much social distancing.

That would help the economy and unemployment. Possibly reduce the amount stimulus funds we have to spend.

With regard to this article, I don’t know who else is manufacturing masks. I know MyPillow is and wasn’t mentioned in this article. They may not be N95 masks, but every little bit helps.

What do you want first the good news or the bad news? Sorry, it’s all bad news. Warning: Reading through FR threads can be hazardous to your health.
I’m going to the local Metropark for a long walk.

And here in NJ, the state police have now been granted authority to commandeer N95 masks, ventilators, and PPE from companies and individuals as it sees fit.

All of the jobs that will be returning will be manufacturing, engineering, technical, process and design jobs.

America does NOT need any more social workers, community organizers, social-scientists, bankers, mortgage brokers (or other agents of debt and financialization), political science majors, etc….

I hope America’s education system is able to radically transform itself to meet these needs and eliminate the leftist-indoctrination puppy mills we have now in “higher education.” Fed.gov ending all debt support for this will go a long way in helping fix this problem.

Manufacturers need machines and raw materials. Google "n95 face mask making machine" and you'll find lots of Chinese machines available on Alibaba.

A positive from all this disruption and hardship is that people will finally realize that prepping is a fundamental necessity.

Yeah, some will.

I was really hoping I’d be able to donate a lot of unused prepping supplies to food banks, when this is over.

Looks like I’m going to use them.

Made a masked run to Walmart this morning. About 1/5 of customers were wearing masks.
