Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday announced the creation of a special House committee charged with overseeing the unprecedented, multitrillion-dollar federal response to the coronavirus pandemic. Pelosi has tapped Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), the Democratic whip, to lead the bipartisan panel, which will be authorized "to examine all aspects of the federal response to the coronavirus and ensure the taxpayer's dollars are being wisely and efficiently spent." "The panel will root out waste, fraud and abuse; it will protect against price-gauging, profiteering and political favoritism," she told reporters on a press call. "The fact is, we do need transparency and accountability."

Separately, a pair of Democratic committee heads — Reps. Bennie Thompson (Miss.) and Adam Schiff (Calif.) — are pushing for the creation of an independent panel, modeled on the 9/11 Commission, to investigate the reasons the United States was so unprepared to cope with the coronavirus epidemic

Blast these headlines every day- people should be outraged that you can only get the life saving drugs IF you belong to a trial in NY, and only 1000 people can get it there!

It doesn’t just guarantee Trump the win....every Democrat on this committee is putting himself at risk in his district. Trump can design a district ad to only pick on that one single guy and really hurt his appearances to that district.
If I were a Democratic House member....this would be the last committee that I would ask for a seat.

After she tried to hold the country hostage to get her version of the anti-virus bill passed that was packed to the point of exploding with waste, fraud, abuse, price-gouging, profiteering and political favoritism, she has the nerve to say she wants to stop it?
