It might become the #1 cause of death for a short time.

Me neither. If a guy with cancer dies and tests positive for the virus, It doesn’t mean the virus killed him.

COVID-19 is now killing 748 people per day in the U.S., Dr. Maria Danilychev said, citing data from Worldometers.info. Only heart disease (1,774 deaths per day) and cancer (1,641 deaths per day) are killing more people daily than coronavirus, CDC data shows.

You could see a several day peak with it surpassing all other causes. Most of the others follow relatively flat graph plots.

On 9/11/2001 planes hitting buildings was our leading cause of death.

Really? What about the almost 30,000 killed so far this season by the common flu?

Yes. It'll only be for a short time. But the numbers are what they are. For today, and possibly for the next month or two. Still, I think it's not insignificant.

People have diabetes, get the virus and are too weak to fight it because diabetes weakens the immune system. The cause of death will go down as coronavirus.

If you have cancer and die from it, but also happen to have mild corona virus...it will be classified as a death by Corona.

If he has cancer and dies of seasonal flu pneumonias, is it counting as a seasonal flu death?

Just look at the numbers. It's true for today, but it won't last. Things will return to normal. But for today, and possibly for the next several weeks or months, it's true. I'm not saying it's the end of the world or anything. It just caught my eye, and thinking it was an April Fool's joke, I verified the numbers.
