Are people really this dumb? A mask prevents inhalation of droplets. It prevents touching the mucous membrane peripheries of the the nose and mouth. If infected it prevents transmission out. Of course everyone right now should be wearing a mask. There are not enough masks for everyone hence the recommendation. Droplets can also get into the eyes and infect via the mucousal back of the eyelids.
Spoke to a nurse working the covid floor(s) today. My county has 106 cases officially. She told me there are more than 500 suspected cases in her hospital right now. It is only one of the mid-sized facilities of the 7 hospitals in our county. If 20% are hospitalized and it takes 5 days from contagion to hospitalization and each non-hospitalized case infects 2.5 more people this thing is going to get a lot worse very quickly.
Simple math.
Don’t let anyone tell you it isn’t real. I have friends that are Doctors and Nurses. It’s real and then some.
Do you have a source for that? Not doubting, just everything I've read gives an average of 5 days till symptoms developing post exposure with 7 days to hospitalization after symptoms appear.
