What major events were being canceled in your region in mid to late February? Please be specific.
The point of my post is that Edwards is now trying to blame the federal government for his not banning Mardi Gras. He made, what we now see with 20:20 hindsight an unfortunate non-call. He could have just as easily said, “If I knew then, what I know now, I’d’ve canceled it.”
I’m not blaming him for his not seeing it coming, but trying to blame others doesn’t seem right to me.
A lot of readers on this thread are being weirdly influenced by a pot-stirring article in Newsweek that’s trying to whip up a controversy. You’d think people would be more wary than that, but I guess not.
