President Trump lead another Coronavirus task force briefing from the White House on Monday evening.
The President was joined by Vice President Mike Pence, US Attorney General Bill Barr and others.
Trump signed a second executive order to providing authority to address hoarding and price gouging that threatens the supply of medical supplies.
Attorney General Bill Barr put hoarders on notice and said they will get a knock on the door if they are sitting on a large amount of supplies.
We have started to see some evidence of potential hoarding and price gouging, said Barr. So, earlier today the president signed a second executive order providing the authority to address hoarding that threatens the supply of those necessary health and medical resources.
If you have a big supply of toilet paper in your house, this is not something you have to worry about. But if you are sitting on a warehouse with masks, surgical masks, you will be hearing a knock on your door, Barr said.

Glad to hear it.
But why didn’t they distribute them? Why sit on them?
Good question. I was thinking the same thing.
“The masks will cost states, counties, and hospitals that need them $5 apiece, with the union connecting hospital procurement officers directly with the suppliers the union isn’t making a profit from the supplies. They said the state of California, the Greater New York Hospital Association, and health care giant Kaiser Permanente, as well as Los Angeles and Santa Clara counties, were among the groups who are already buying masks through the suppliers the union found.”

Wait. Are you telling me the collectivists are trying to take advantage of this virus?
MF-ers — my daughter works in a children’s psych ward in New Orleans, and she and her coworkers are given trash masks because they don’t have enough N95 masks to share outside of ER and fever wards.
For those who don’t know, SEIU runs United Healthcare.
Cant speak to the quality of the news source, take everything with a grain of salt.
What I find odd is that a stockpile of 39,000,000 masks was just sitting at a distributor weeks after the call for action went out. On top of that, finding a new manufacturer that can produce 20M more masks per week that the rest of the planet didnt know about?
For context, 3M is maxing out production lines at 100M per week and they already made them, plus got authorization (legal protection) to provide 95 masks to healthcare from lines that made the same thing but hadnt been certified by FDA to get there and are expecting it to take a year to double that output (per my read of recent news).
Maybe its all on the up and up, but the numbers seem really weird,,,
The same United Healthcare that works through AARP.
Not a story I wish to share now. I lost as a kid. I won as an adult.
39 Million face masks? I heard they were going for $7 apiece on the black market
It takes one machine and one operator to attach new elastic, probably to the tune of 10,000 an hour.
The unions, facebook and apple had a lot of masks. Woner why.
We saw the same thing in Western Washington.
Interesting.
Wonder who the straw purchasers were there...
Supposedly Chinese here who bought masks to send to relatives had them confiscated by Chicom customs and the relatives never got them.
Correction - per the news report 3M will hit 100M per MONTH.
