Thanks for the laymen’s terms Lt. And just like the Babylon Bee, satire is getting difficult to determine when there are many folks still calling Covid-19 “just the flu”.
And I guess for 80% of the people that get it, it sort of is. So it is very easy for folks to say “Yeah, I think that is what I had in December and I got over it, so it’s not a big deal.” (I think they had the normal flu though).
BUT - even with “just 20%” of people having severe symptoms - with how widespread and viral Covid-19 is, that can/will be a HUGE number of people. As this doctor is pointing out.
I printed his comments out in case family or I end up in the hospital. I am assuming it is real, and if not, the doctor can look at it and maybe it will be helpful.
My son uses an inhaler when his asthma flares up. I’m going to ask him what is in it.

BS. The actual FACT is that many have had this critter without involving hospitals. If estimates of those people are correct then this thing is 1/10th as deadly as the flu.

I’ve just been talking with my wife, I was planning on going back to work next week and be gone from home for a couple of weeks but we are rethinking that.

Being an ER MD on the front lines, do you have a medical opinion regarding the use of Hydroxychloroquine in combination with Azithromycin as documented in the recently published peer reviewed study out of France? Is it being prescribed in your hospital for certain Covid patients ?
