Yeah... because certain parts of the country can go back to normal next week, whereas the coastal areas might want to wait an extra week to make sure the medical infrastructure in their area is ready.

Exactly. He’s gotten the supplies out, there seems to be a pretty effective medication for most cases, and there’s a vaccine in trials. The latter must be pretty successful, since results were supposed to be in right around Easter but the still-ongoing trial must be showing promise. If so, it would be used to prevent a resurgence of the virus in the fall.
