Dr. Anthony Fauci will ‘keep pushing’ with Trump despite disagreements
NY Post ^ | March 23, 2020 | Emily Jacobs

Dr. Anthony Fauci said he plans to “keep pushing” to continue working with President Trump on his coronavirus task force — despite recent disagreements between the two on specific solutions to the pandemic.

Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was asked in an interview with Science Magazine how he had managed to stay in Trump’s good graces and work through their disagreements.

“Well, that’s pretty interesting because to his [Trump’s] credit, even though we disagree on some things, he listens,” Fauci said. “He goes his own way. He has his own style. But on substantive issues, he does listen to what I say.”

Apparently this guy forgets that President Trump is his BOSS.

This is no time to incorporate high drama into the equation. I know Dr. F. likes the drama and extreme attention, but this is serious. It isn’t cute any more, you little troll. Get on the train or f***ing retire already.

Last night on Levin, Fauci said that the president asks a lot of questions but has NEVER opposed, or refused to implement, the recommendations of the doctors and scientists. Of course, THAT quote will never be aired in the MSM.

So relieved Fauci is heard but I didn’t vote for him.

I voted for President Trump.
He’ll act and after listening he usually does.

Saw Fauci on with Mark Levin on his show last night. Dr. Fauci was actually quite complimentary towards President Trump re: COVID-19. It sounds like they get along pretty well and really listen to each other.

"“The situation on stage [for the press briefings] is a bit more problematic. I keep saying, is there any way we can get a virtual press conference. Thus far, no. But when you’re dealing with the White House, sometimes you have to say things one, two, three, four times, and then it happens. So I’m going to keep pushing,” Fauci continued."

Notice how the context of the statement "But when you’re dealing with the White House, sometimes you have to say things one, two, three, four times, and then it happens" actually describes the need to pitch an idea more than once where others disagree. Other news outlets took that quote out of context to make it look like President Trump had to hear something multiple times before he understood it.

In this case an in-person news conference makes an important statement by the mere fact that it is happening. And it keeps guys like Fauci on a short leash since the President and Vice President are right there to clarify any questions that arise.

I saw the same show, and Fauci had only good things to say about Trump - said Trump asks a lot of questions (as he should), but NEVER goes against the advice of the medical experts. It is the president's JOB to ask questions.

The media are trying to put a wedge between Fauci by spinning his comments in a way to make Trump look bad or to seem "anti-science," which is one of their many false narratives about Trump.

It is my understanding that Fauci has been in government for 50 years.

If that's true then it occurs to me that he's been a miserable failure over that period of time never anticipating what he was charged with doing. Where was he in 2009? Has anybody ever even heard of this dude once before in the last 50 years?

It won’t be aired on the MSM, nor will it be acknowledged here on FR, except to accuse him of lying.

When I got my first “real” job (after McDonalds then college), I was told by my boss that my job was to make him look GOOD - and that if I didn’t believe him, just make him look BAD one time. I followed his advice.

Very well said, Steve! Your review of Dr. Fauci's appearance on Life, Liberty & Levin last night was far better than mine. Thanks for filling in the details. :-)

I still cannot get over how young Fauci looks and acts. Isn't he about 79??

Dr. F needs what we used to call in the gas fields a “frac tank education” by Trump.
If you where a trouble maker or put others in danger you were escorted by your coworkers behind the frac tanks and given an “education”

Does anyone know if government-employed spokesmen like Fauci receive payment for appearances on commercial TV news/talk shows?

If so, that might explain a lot.
