Well, it’s legal. It’s right there in section (f)(8) “Suspend or limit the sale, dispensing or transportation of alcoholic beverages, firearms, explosives and combustibles.” Whether the circumstances indicate he should be able to invoke all these powers is another question. Seems wildly inappropriate to me.

Are they letting the criminals out of jail so they can put hard working citizens in there?

“...He sounded like one of the least “worked up”, here. And he’s simply offering sound and harmless advice, “stock up”...”

Oh, yes. I got that. That’s why I said “no offense” and it’s always a good idea to be prepared for things.

“...I’m starting to think that this virus is capable of inducing psychosis...”

You’re not wrong... :^) That’s why we shouldn’t get worked up over rumors.

What will happen, will happen. Be as prepared as you can be, and go about your life as best you can.

Unfortunately, you are right. I work in a county courthouse and it angers me to see the number of properties up for tax sale every year. Governor Wolf and his corrupt democrat cronies care more about their own power than the citizens of Pennsylvania.

It’s like this literally everywhere in the world and practically in every state democrat or republican.

I hadn't thought of it like that, but you could be on to something. Everything that the Government does has an ulterior motive. They could be taking advantage of a situation. Then again, maybe not. Time will tell.

You FluBros have been officially identified as the problem.

“Where public disorder occurs, it is usually triggered by perceptions about the Government’s response, rather than the nature of the epidemic per se.”

This is a communist takeover. Trump is going along as he has surrounded himself with these communists in the healthcare system. The country is being gaslighted into believing this virus is the end of times and drastic and draconian measures are the only answer.

That kind of defiance is only going to get us to a state of martial law more quickly

Thanks for that invaluable input, comrade n00b

I simply do not understand this hoarding thing. If we were being invaded by a foreign power that was blowing up bridges, interstate highways, rail road tracks, food factories and the like, then yes, hoard away.

But to hoard now is actually disrupting the normal supply chain. When one set of jackasses start to hoard, it is almost necessary for others to do so.

Example: We did not hoard anything and went to buy toilet paper. We simply could not find any in a several hundred mile drive. Finally we went to this little obscure town and they had it. So we bought all we could.

This hoarding is so effing stupid. Let the normal supply system work, buy as you need it. Of course we always keep a two week supply of food for natural disasters that impede the flow of supplies. But the only thing screwing up supplies are the a$$holes hoarding.

“Well, you spread your gossipy garbage to the detriment of the good folks here.”

It ain’t gossip, my FRiend.

Actually, good reports have come out that Colorado’s governor has been passing out travel and fuel purchase cards to his friends in the media. California is in martial law right now. Total Statewide lockdown.

releasing this after business hours on a Thursday to be effective at midnight (so no notice - people can’t even ask their boss whether they should be showing up Friday - will cause total chaos.

I don't think this part can be emphasized enough. This is at least the third straight late afternoon press conference he's held that added to the chaos and confusion in the state. These press conferences can happen at any time of the day, but holding them in the afternoon, businesses and families don't have time to develop a plan to implement the new guidance, all they can do is panic shop for provisions or huddle in meetings trying to get phone calls answered while thinking about panic shopping. It shows that Wolf sees himself as the ultimate beneficiary of the information, and not as the conveyor of the information to the public.
