As much as I like to visit Philly and NYC, this is an aspect of city life I am happy to have missed. Just like in a revolution or civil war, those involved in this type thing have no real limits. Sure, there are some who have limits, but the psychopaths will take over, and will act with no remorse.

The Biggest mistake is assuming that the worst ones have any humanity.

In my family...Frunzi, Vinny, Jimmy, Neally, Anthony...great uncles and older cousins..all dead now so stating their names doesn’t matter much.

I had NO IDEA what they were involved in until my early teens.

So many button men would kill JUST to get on a boss’ good side - for FREE.
Why would they pay him.
And if for some reason they did pay, it’s so little that he would have had to kill hundreds and hundreds in his lifetime. He didn’t.
If the Boss of a family has 150 button men, why is he gonna pay some Polish guy to do the hit?
More than a few time when the Mafia uses someone who’s not Italian to do a hit, they end up killing the person who did the hit later on. Sometimes much shorter than later on.
