I suspect they were thinking others would give them stuff when they saw that this couple didn’t have anything.
Pretty presumptuous, if you ask me.
Anyone have some good raccoon recipes?
I’ve just been relocating these critters.
Egg shelf life study: https://tellus.ars.usda.gov/stories/articles/how-we-store-our-eggs-and-why/
My daughter:
“I ain’t no snowflake!
“I’ll use my hand and then wash it off!!”
“The results showed that the refrigerated eggs, regardless of whether they were washed or oiled, were still Grade A quality after 15 weeks, on average, and that the quality of eggs stored at room temperature declined rapidly. In fact, unwashed eggs stored at room temperature degraded from Grade AA to Grade B in just a week, and they also lost 15 percent of their weight over the 15 weeks. Under refrigeration, the unwashed eggs lost the same amount of weight as the washed eggs.
Basically, the key is that egg quality stays high with refrigeration and degrades rapidly without it, Jones says.”
No; that is NOT Reformed Egyptian on the cover!
Mischaracterization, corrupt media. In context he was saying we may be at the far end of the curve in August.
Yeah, I never understood the run on groceries in general... Farmers are the lowest risk, living in low density populations. Truckers are the masters of isolation and distancing. And while it is bad that China produces most of the antibiotics, face masks and respirators, gearing up to make these things is not rocket science.
I DO know that a goose egg found in shallow water, in summer, if broken in the canoe, makes you gag pretty bad.
Do they know what they are doing with flour and eggs?
My water comes from a hole in the ground.
A wee bit more minerals than the average taste likes; but my water softener settles that problem.
And the fridge has it’s, own filter for the ice and water door after that.
Life is good!

Voiceover; Grandpa speaking...

Milk can be frozen indefinitely. Bulk Rice needs to be frozen to kill the varmints.
There’s an old great joke about the “God will provide” crowd. Involves a guy in a flood who keeps refusing aid cause God will provide. He drowns, gets to the Pearly Gates, he’s very confused as to how this all happened. God says “I sent 2 boats and a helicopter, what were you expecting?”
I have heard that and it certainly applies.
Locusts?
Wild honey?
