Why there will soon be tons of toilet paper, and what food may be scarce, according to supply chain experts

Stuck rationing toilet paper because you didn't stockpile during the coronavirus panic over the last few days? Don't worry, according to supply chain experts.

"All the grocery stores are going to have pallets of toilet paper sitting in the aisles and nobody is going to buy it because who needs to buy toilet paper when you got a year's worth sitting in your garage," Daniel Stanton, a supply chain expert and author of "Supply Chain Management for Dummies," tells CNBC Make It. But what about food? Even if the COVID-19 pandemic stretches over months (President Donald Trump said it could last until August), there will no big food shortages, especially on staples like milk, eggs, cheese, bread and meat, according to three supply chain experts who spoke to Make It.

Right now where I live it’s easier to get chickens than eggs.

Right!

My grandma taught me that if you think that you have eggs that might be old, put each one in a glass of water. If it sinks it’s good. If it floats chit can it.

If I've learned anything the past two weeks its that most people don't know how to do anything from scratch, period!

But the 'net sure does!

So; we've got THAT going for us!

Yep. I have many Disney/Pixar/kids’ VHS, some vinyl (but not a crank Victrola) and a ViewMaster collection.

Panic buying, to me, implies a lack of faith that God will provide what we need. I am not going to sit on the steps waiting for a Big Mac to fall out of the sky and hit me on the head, nor am I going to allow fear to overwhelm me to where I am going to leave work and buy a truck load of food.

I am simply stating that I am not filled with fear because God has proven to me that he will make a way for me satisfy the needs that I have, food or otherwise.

I take offense that you presumed me to be a religious wacko. When our fears motivate us to do crazy things for no good reason, maybe, just maybe, it is time to take a pause and take a good, hard introspective look at ourselves. I have. Maybe you should, too.

we just go by taste- probably not very safe thing to do- but we’ve been doing it for 50 years- We used to raise chickens, and stored the eggs quite awhile- (We also had ducks and geese- so we couldn’t keep up with all the eggs lol)

When I had a bunch of chickens, I could count on almost one egg a day from each.

But; if you have DUCKS; they also are as prolific, but the eggs are TWICE the size (and they taste just the same) as the chicken ones. (and are tinted green!)

I don’t understand why toilet paper is being hoarded. Chicomvirus isn’t a gastrointestinal disease like Asiatic cholera. It’s a respiratory ailment.

That's 'cause every time someone sneezes, 10 people crap their pants.

Well God did also say to be prudent and store up- He Even put Joseph in charge of storing up grains for the coming famines- Storing up for bad times and hoarding are two different things- hoarding involves getting more than you will lever need- and deprives others of things they will need- and these hoarders never share what they have whn others are in need-

For preserving eggs and fruits those in the nose use waterglass:

Save the lard for cooking, fuel, or kinky... er, never mind.

Search for My mothers peasant bread recipe. Follow it but add 1 tablespoon butter or oil.. I always half the recipe for a small loaf.
A really easy yeast bread in about 3 hours with about 5 minutes work time.
