Makes me wonder if he knows more about China’s actions and intentions with this virus. I don’t think he’d use it just to deflect from our having sold it to China in 2015. I think he is laying the groundwork to tell us that China unleashed this on us intentionally.

Schmickie also called for President Trump to invoke the 1950 Defense Production Act ....basically a federal takeover of the economy.....which seems excessive because President Trump has industry leaders working with him.

The first authorizes the President to require businesses to sign contracts or fulfill orders deemed necessary for national defense.
The second authorizes the President to establish mechanisms (such as regulations, orders or agencies) to allocate materials, services and facilities to promote national defense.
