As for the Christians from Syria etc., there Has To be a better way to vet and allow them in.
I hate this idea of sneaking in and then asking for asylum.

A couple of weeks ago before all this started I remember reading that many Chinese were stopped at the S. border as they tried to enter illegally.
I wondered THEN, why Chinese would be trying something like that in such numbers and at THAT border. It only came to mind again once the Virus news ramped up. It IS curious.
