It does sound that the more aggressive strain, what they were calling “L strain”, must be the one hitting the east coast.

Where are all the stories about all the people who are recovering just fine?
This massive overreaction is going to doom us all!
You can bet New Yawk will get first dibs on the two medical ships of the Navy.
“This massive overreaction is going to doom us all!”
Wait, is that an overreaction? jk. Also perfect handle.
But seems it should be the opposite...put the coronavirus patients on the ships.
Well that doesn’t sound good at all.
Numbers of cases are quickly going up in quite a few states. Here’s the most updated map that I could find so far.
Sources: State and local health agencies, hospitals, C.D.C. Data as of 10:26 p.m. E.T., Mar. 17.

53,000 Beds. Not 3000.
Cuomo is a b******.
18% hospitalized?! Not good, running at 8% in some other countries.
Maybe someone should go tell them it’s just the flu, bro?
One hospital ship is based on the east coast and one is based on the west coast. They will probably stay on their respective coast.
19%!!! Wow, WAY more than I’ve heard before. Now we understand why “flattening the curve” will be so crucial. There just aren’t enough hospital beds otherwise.
High % of hospitalization? Whats up with that?
To know what's going on you need the percentage of the pool that is getting this....and you just don't know. I mean...come on....how many people are in just NY.
“Cuomo is a b******”.
Yep, he is a first class bastard. He oozes mafioso thuggery.
Probably the thinking is that there are going to be more CV patients than the ship can handle. They are clearing the whole hospital capacity for CV.
When you are primarily testing those admitted your serious percentage is skewed.
