Ordinary masks from Walmart do not protect the wearer, but it does protect others from those who are wearing a mask.

My N95 masks from Walmart most certainly protect the user, just as my medical goggles do.

Was it made specially for you and fitted to shape of your face? If not, it is not air tight. Majority of masks sold at Walmart (where I buy masks for wearing when doing dusty work) are not N95 type. I pay like 25-29 cents for each.

Exactly why I wear them around my parents. They are staying home and I am doing their shopping.
