OPM chief abruptly resigns

The head of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) abruptly resigned Tuesday, leaving a void atop a sprawling agency that oversees the federal workforce.

"OPM has received the resignation of OPM Director Dale Cabaniss and OPM Deputy Director Michael Rigas is Acting Director, Office of Personnel Management," an OPM spokesperson confirmed in a statement.

Cabaniss's departure was unexpected, according to sources familiar with the matter, and was believed to be related to internal conflicts.

She chafed at treatment by John McEntee, the 29-year-old head of the office, as well as Paul Dans, OPM’s White House liaison, Politico reported. McEntee rejoined the White House last month and has set about stocking the administration with officials loyal to President Trump and his agenda.

Politico reported that the White House's decision to hire a third college senior to a sensitive post also contributed to the tensions that preceded Cabaniss's resignation.

OPM is an independent agency tasked with overseeing millions of federal workers. The office handles human resources matters and oversees the civil service hiring processes.

Cabaniss has led OPM since September, when she was confirmed in a 54-38 vote. She replaced Jeff Pon, who was ousted by Trump last October after just seven months on the job amid a dispute over the office's powers.

Cabaniss previously served under former President George W. Bush as chairwoman of the Federal Labor Relations Authority, which oversees collective bargaining and disputes between agencies and workers, and has worked on civil service issues for two decades on the Senate Appropriations and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committees.

W was ‘loved’ for his first few years becvuse we were all glad to be rid of the Clintons and to stop Gore. But W became intolerable toward his second term. He won reelection because ... Kerry.

His 2nd term was so bad that it brought Obama and the Clintons and all their corrupt network back to power.

Bush’s Achilles heel was banking and lax enforcement thereof. His refusal to prosecute banksters let them get away with a figurative financial murder of America. W’s inner circle were told by capable investigators of the greatest theft in US history but they were ordered to stand down and let it happen because it was thought a prosecution might ‘hurt the economy’.

The financial collapse and mortgage meltdown led to Obama’s moribund economic policy, a perpetual negative outlook, a narrative that jobs were not coming back, a missive that America was in decline - get used to it, deal with it.

W only slowed the death of America that Gore, Clintons and all their network would have presided over. They would have brought about trade agreements and migrations that would erase America in history, left the NA population trading with Ameros and subject to all sorts of international globalist charters and rules.

We should thank God each and every day for President Trump and pray for his health and stamina. I know I do.

I don’t recall who ran against W in 2004 primaries. Ron Paul or Bob Barr?

OPM under Obama was a leftist cheerleading organization for the Comrade and his radical labor groups supporters.

Looks like another swamp is getting drained. I just want them to do their job without bias, politics, or favors. That is what they were supposed to be doing during the past 11 years (since Obie came in).

OK, Paul ran in later elections. Barr ran later as a Libertarian, I think.

She worked for George W Bush. That’s the tell

Remember when Freepers all loved Bush? Or at least pretended to in order to not get flamed?

Well hindsight is 20/20. For my part I stuck with him during all the attacks until he wimped out and went full deep state.

Just made me appreciate President Trump all the more since he fights back. So good things can come from bad, right?

Maybe this has to do with the security clearance backlog. OPM let it get to over 725,000 people waiting for a clearance and it is still over 250,000 people. Security clearances are taking over a year and should take only days.
