Former White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson praised President Trump Monday night after he announced a list of guidelines that he and the White House coronavirus task force hoped will slow the spread of the pandemic within 15 days.
"The president has done everything he needed to do in this case," Jackson told "Hannity". "He’s acted quickly and decisively. He did what he always has done ... he went with his instincts."
"He put together a top-notch team and he was criticized.... despite that, he carried on and did what he needed to do for our country. He put the [China] travel ban in place," he added.
Jackson said he does not expect the virus to spread at the rate that it has in places like Italy and Iran due to the president's "quick and decisive actions," notably his decision to restrict travel into the U.S. from China in late January.
"What’s going on in Italy and Iran is not going to happen here I think, because of the president's quick and decisive actions. I think we are going to be more in line with what’s going on in South Korea and things of that nature," Jackson said.
He continued, "We are going to see that we got on it early ... the president stopped it quickly and it’s going to save countless American lives. I am proud that he’s acted so quickly and decisively in all of this."

The guy on the left of Dr. Jackson - he’s the real Marxist virus that infected America for 8 years Plus. Trump is the CURE for the Obamavirus. Now he needs to become the CURE for the disease known as the “Deep State”.

As the floodgates on the testing are opened for the next several weeks, this number will drop to the floor and will remove one more talking point (a BIG one) from the enemy MSM press.

This is true, but it would be a lot further along without those early efforts by Trump.

Once widespread testing is underway we’ll probably see a lot of newly discovered cases. As a result the DCR will drop dramatically and slowly creep back up as cases resolve, likely ending up just over 1%. This is what’s happening in SK right now. That’s the model we have to work with. Maybe we got out early enough to get it below 1% - hope so, anyway. All credit to President Trump for early action.
Now he needs to close the southern border to stop the third wave of infections from coming in.
Wholeheartedly agree. I watched a little of the press conference and saw how President Trump stood in the middle of that press conference, answering questions, but bringing the relevant expert to the podium as needed. I thought how fortunate we are in a crisis to have someone used to running things and getting results from a team of experts rather than a blowhard politician who would park at the podium to deliver focus group-tested lines while flanked by a perfectly diverse, stonefaced group of people acting as nothing more than a backdrop for the evening news.

I think the point is that not as many people were here to spread it i the beginning because of the travel bans. I read somewhere that something like 100K Chinese workers live in Italy and many went home for Chinese New Year and then returned and brought the virus with them. I guess we will see in the near future if the US travel ban on China helped appreciably.

In most administrations there have been national security advisors keeping an eye on what’s going on in the world. Either there were such persons assigned to that task or they didn’t know how to do their job.
Even your average Joe Schmuck who looked at China could see that something big was going on with this virus. There were plenty of eyewitness accounts and actual videos from Chinese citizens of the unfolding health disaster until the CCP shut down the leaks of what was happening.
I’m not sure how anyone in an administration could miss China throwing up huge temporary hospitals in a mad dash to try to bring the numbers down (I even posted the link to watch the live construction here on FR).
So, if the admin’s excuse is it “didn’t know this was going on”, that’s not quite the excuse I’d want to hide behind.
