French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday called for citizens to restrict themselves from taking unnecessary trips outside of their homes for at least two weeks.
We must all limit the number of people with who were in contact with every single day. Scientists say so, that's the absolute priority, Macron said, according to a Sky News translation of the televised address.
The new measures will go into effect from noon Tuesday and last for at least two weeks.
"We're at war," Macron reportedly said.
The limited traffic means people should not gather to meet friends or family, he said.
Citizens can leave for necessary trips, such as doing shopping in a disciplined fashion, including keeping a distance of at least one meter between them and not shaking hands.

Hey Macron...how’s that new world order coming along? Ya still think countries shouldn’t have borders?

“We’re at war,” Macron reportedly said.”
So you’ve surrendered already have you? Who was it this time? The Muslims?

A moral victory at best.
At times like these, one must throw adherence to grammatical rules to the wind.

Ah, the old Vichy Regime is back in action. “Achtung -You vill remain in your home or else”.
Is Macron French for “surrender monkey”? I’m a little rusty on my French, mon ami.

Time to open a white flag factory in France and make a few bucks.

Maybe Lurch Kerry can accompany James Taylor to go over to croon “You’ve Got A Friend” to cheer them up.

The Deep State... Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves. ― William Pitt the Younger Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. Ben Franklin Next up has to be public highways: Over 40,000 fatal car accidents per year in the U.S. Each day, more than 90 Americans die in car accidents. On average, 2 million drivers experience a permanent injury every year. If that ain't as serious as The Great Dem Hope Virus, what is?
