President Trump on Monday urged Americans to avoid traveling and gathering in public spaces in an effort to blunt the spread of the coronavirus.
"If everyone makes this change, or these critical changes and sacrifices now, we will rally together as one nation and we will defeat the virus," Trump said in the White House briefing room. "We're going to have a big celebration all together."

state gov’ts have general police power and certainly have the power to do that to you.
Misleading title. DM strikes again.
why? What makes this virus different and what about it warrants the hysteria and panic?
It's very contagious, so it's likely that entire households will be contaminated.
You should change your handle to VAprotyranny
I think the flu and colds are also very contagious.
I'm not, I'm done.Who are you trying to fool? You were done when he was elected.
What a fraud!
Ineffectual.
Went to the Arnold Palmer Invitational golf tournament last Sunday and Friday with 50,000 other people. We’re all fine. I go through a lunch buffet 5 days a week with 250 other people and not one person got the virus. So yeah, let’s all lock ourselves in a closet.
OK so Pres Trump is coming around to your wise opinion.
Since you are so wise, maybe YOU can define the endgame? How far does it go? How do we determine were in the clear? Most importantly who makes that decision?
Im telling you that the hysteria is absolutely frightening. Youre all about to jump over a cliff like lemmings who have NO idea whats in store for you.
That is a liberal mentality. Pass some kind of stupid law for immediate satisfaction totally ignoring the future unintended consequences.
Im praying so hard for President a Trump right now. I think that he is being torn asunder by his true compassion for us as citizens and his natural instinct to rely on those he perceives to be experts. Its what makes him an excellent businessman and manager. But what served him well in the private sector has turned into a poisoned dagger in the deep state quagmire he is fighting.
We all complained about his misguided choices for key positions in his admin early on. They were all made by the direction of those he assumed were the experts who he naively believed were true patriots. It wasnt until he started to follow his gut that he was able to purge himself of some of these snakes, but the swamp is wide and deep.
Please, please if you believe in the power of prayer - pray for God to give him the wisdom and strength to manage this.
I’d be curious to have the Doc take a gander at a C-19 slide go see if that looks familiar.
it’s really, really virulent, there’s no prior immunity to it, and it’s very bad for older people, or ppl with comorbidities. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/summary.html
With your tag line that’s hilarious.
Well said. I get peoples’ concerns, but if Trump himself chained me to my basement and spritzed me with Coronavirus, I’d STILL vote for him over the alternatives.
Yeah, I wonder what he’s thinking now. Who knows, maybe he’s reached out to someone.
Do they have the power to do it to several thousand armed patriots at once?
Again I say why go test? There is no cure or vaccine!
Bingo. He is being rolled.
To look back to WWII newsreels the press would practically perform fellatio on FDR. He could say whatever BS he wanted about “Shangra La” or whatever, and they’d eat it up.
Watching the jackals in this presser makes me wonder why it isn’t being held in Japanese.
I think, however, that reality is on Trump’s side. This thing is real and he’s doing incredible work. His approach is perfect, and projects confidence.
The “Press” has some comeuppance coming, and this virus might be just the thing to bring it to them.
