I believe Florida has an “overdose Good Samaritan” law that allows people to call for medical assistance in the event of a drug overdose without fear of criminal prosecution for drug possession. The purpose of the law is to avoid a situation where someone overdoses, and nobody calls for help because they’re afraid of the legal consequences.
I can see that which would help the third guy involved who actually called 911. Gillum was not that person. He was originally alone with the porn star.
