I heard eleventy billion people have the virus, just in Ohio!
Adjusting for population differences, that would put WhuFlu on par with the 1957 Asian flu. Which some people from that era do not remember.
I told my Dogs today to kiss me...I told them I had the Corona,,,They licked me anyway...They ain’t sacred...
Exactly.
Regrettably, it’s almost certainly not true.
The number might be low, but without testing every single person we will never know, nor know how many “with” the virus are asymptomatic, how many are experiencing symptoms no worse than a mild cold, etc, etc.
Fear is the REAL pandemic.
Which should result in what -- THOUSANDS of Ohioans dying from the Eurovirus?
The flu is already all around the world always. It's always catching. Thousands of people at a time have it at any one time. More people get it in winter months. This virus had to start from ground zero and has ALREADY spread worldwide in just a few months.
I smell BULL$HIT!
It’s basically Schrodinger’s virus. It comes into existence when it’s tested for. At this point it’s widespread and everyone’s either got it or had it. But no one reported it because you don’t report a cold. Thus the number of reported cases depends solely on the number of test kits being produced and used. If the number of cases is doubling every six days, it’s probably because the number of tests performed is doubling every six days. The high initial mortality rate is due to a non-random sample skewed towards the most extreme cases since those were the ones being tested initially. As time goes on the sample becomes more random and the mortality rate predictably drops. Eventually the stats will start looking like those of a common cold — widespread because highly communicable but generally mild in its symptoms unless the victim is elderly or otherwise compromised.
Say whut?
Don’t you want to see their work before you believe their math?
Ohio Governors Alarming Claim About The Number Of Coronavirus Cases Was Based On A Guesstimate
- see https://dailycaller.com/2020/03/13/ohio-governor-coronavirus-100000/
"I am not saying there are absolutely for certain 100,000 people, Dr. Amy Acton, the director of the Ohio Department of Health, said at a press conference Friday. Im saying Im guesstimating. If Im guesstimating community spread, thats my best number.
^ is why people are untrusting and suspicious of government. Throwing numbers out there without calculation as to *how* you came up with that number is disgraceful.
The public deserves better during these trying times.
