Driver In Biden Crash Wanted Name Cleared (Biden's Past)

Just a week before Christmas, 1972, the wife of newly-elected Sen. Joe Biden and the couple's baby daughter were killed - and their two sons badly injured - when the Biden family car was broadsided by a truck at an intersection in Delaware.

The truck driver, Curtis Dunn, was never charged in the crash. But, his daughter Pam Hamill says, he too, suffered, reports CBS News correspondent Bob Orr.

"He grieved over that," Hamill said. "He was haunted and was tormented by that for years."

Dunn died in 1999, but since then his family has endured widespread rumors and reports that he had been drinking just before the collision.

At least twice, Biden himself has made public references to alcohol being involved in the crash. In 2007 Biden said the truck driver "allegedly ... drank his lunch." And multiple news outlets, including CBS News, have reported that Dunn was drunk.

The police reports have been lost, but Delaware Judge Jerome Herlihy, who investigated the crash, supports Hamill's claim.

He told CBS News, "There was no indication that the truck driver had been drinking."

And last fall, a spokesman for Biden said that the senator "fully accepts the Dunn family's word that these rumors were false."

Now Pam Hamill simply wants the record to be cleared, and her father's reputation restored

I don't know why the family is not suing Joe Biden and the #fakenews media for continuing to make these false claims!

Alcohol didn't play a role in the 1972 crash, investigators found. But as recently as last week, the syndicated TV show Inside Edition aired a clip from 2001 of Biden describing the accident to an audience at the University of Delaware and saying the truck driver "stopped to drink instead of drive."

The senator's statements don't jibe with news and law enforcement reports from the time, which cleared driver Curtis C. Dunn, who died in 1999, of wrongdoing.

The crash involving the Biden family station wagon and a tractor-trailer driven by CURTIS C. DUNN, 43, of Kaolin, Pa., occurred on Monday afternoon, December 18, 1972 when Dunn T-boned it, sending it spinning for 150 feet, breaking the windshield and crushing in a rear door, while the truck itself skidded for 20 feet and landed on its side. Neilia Hunter Biden had pulled away from a stop sign at about 2:30 p.m. when the tractor-trailer carrying corn cobbs, which was coming down a hill, hit the side of her station wagon. Dunn overturned his rig while swerving to avoid collision, ran to wrecked car, was 1st to render assistance. Neilia Biden and 13-month-old daughter Naomi were declared dead at a hospital. Beau, once Delaware's attorney general now deceased, broke his leg, and Hunter suffered head injuries which he apparently still suffers from.

Biden told everyone and his dog Dunn was drunk. Why? Dunn had run to the wreck and pulled his wife and family out. He may have saved 2 of their lives. Why did he do this? So people would feel sorry for him? Wasn't it enough he lost 2 family members in a car crash? Or was it to deflect suspicion from his wife being drunk and a subsequent journalistic investigation? It wouldn't have looked good for Joe if his wife's alcoholism resulted in one his chidren's death.

There was a liqour store nearby the crash site but no alcohol was recovered from the rig or in Dunn's bloodstream.

Curtis Dunn was driving the tractor-trailer that collided with the car driven by Biden's first wife, Neilia. Neilia was carrying their 13-month-old infant daughter with her, and young sons Beau and Hunter were in the car, too. They were on their way to buy a Christmas tree when the accident occurred. Police at the time made the determination that Mrs. Biden drove into the path of the oncoming truck, possibly because she was looking the wrong way at a stop sign. Neilia and the girl died of their injuries, despite Dunn's attempts to provide first aid, and the Bidens' sons were also hurt very badly. POLITICO wrote in January of this year that a friend of Biden’s looked into the accident at the time and concluded, "She had a stop sign. The truck driver did not."

Since I first heard of this, I have tried to rationalize it by saying that kind of thing happening to a person could put them over the edge, but then I heard he first started accusing the other driver of “drinking his lunch” DECADES after the accident happened.

The man’s family, devastated by the slander, has asked Biden to retract his statement, which Biden refuses to do. Biden’s wife was apparently at fault, pulling out of the truck, and all he could do was jackknife his rig and try to administer aid.

I have hurt someone driving (not of my fault) and it has bothered me every single day since then. Every day. I have prayed for that man, obsessed in my mind about it, wondered what I could have done differently. I have no doubt that poor man who hit Biden’s first wife’s car suffered, and his family inferred that it drove him to an early death because he was anguished over it.

And that scumbag Biden called him a Drunk Driver. No, he isn’t “Good Ol’ Joe”. He is a mentally twisted, sick, pathologically lying scumbag.

In 2001, she wrote a heartfelt letter to Biden expressing her father’s profound grief after hearing Biden make a post Sept. 11 speech in which he told the audience that, given his history, he could empathize with victims.

“Growing up, my dad never talked about it. He always got very solemn around Christmastime because the anniversary was Dec. 18, and he never wanted to celebrate the holidays,” Hamill said. “When newspapers had anniversary articles (about the crash), we hid them from dad.”

Biden responded in a handwritten note, which, in part, reads, “All that I can say is I am sorry for all of us and please know that neither I or my sons feel any animosity whatsoever.”

Hamill says that because she fondly recalled those tender correspondences, the revelation of Biden’s distorted story is even more overwhelming.

“We always felt like our heartstrings were attached to (Biden’s) heartstrings. Now we feel stabbed in the back,” she said.

I understand your response to your personal experience and I think rational people would do the same. I think that some of these politicians are sociopaths and I could not agree more that Biden is a complete PoS and a clear and present danger to this country....don’t get me started on Comrade Sanders...
