Multiple Saudi royal family members detained, accused of plotting coup

Two of Saudi Arabia's top members of the royal family have been arrested in an alleged coup attempt, according to multiple reports.

Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, brother of Saudi King Salman, and Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the king’s nephew known as MBN, were taken into custody and accused of treason, sources told The Wall Street Journal.

The details of the reported plot are unclear but the Journal's sources said that the alleged coup was to unseat King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, known as MBS. Both have been accused of treason. One of MBN's brothers was also detained.

Prince Ahmed and Prince Mohammed bin Nayef were once thought to have some claim to the throne if King Salman, 84, were to die or abdicate, and their arrests further consolidate power for MBS.

When you realize that the Bush family got wealthy in the oil business dealing primarily with the Saudi royal family, you begin to realize why after Saudi terrorists , who were known to Saudi intelligence, pulled off the 9/11 attack, killing 3,000 Americans and causing over $3 trillion dollars of economic harm to America, Bush attacked Iraq and and Saudi Arabia. In Iraq another 3,000 brave young Americans were killed, tens of thousands more physically and psychologically maimed and another trillion dollars squandered. All the while Bush whining that Islam was the “religion of peace”.

Time to face facts, rid ourselves both of the globalist Bush types and the Saudis. Neither are any good for America

The new King in waiting seems to be a reformer. In the past they could be “sort of” counted on.
Right now their support for countering Iran is of value

Sorry. Meant to type he attacked Iraq and not Saudi Arabia. The fact is that the blood of many American soldiers, the continuing suffering of tens of thousands more, and the unending grief of many, along with the Obama abomination is the real legacy of GW Bush. Would only his Presidency be absolved by a mistype.

AND THE BEAT GOES ON--The Saudis showered candidate Hillary with oil money and red carpet adoration, assured she was the next US president.
When she lost, the Saudi inner sanctum was thrown into chaos. Saudi Princes were detained and royalty ushered out of key positions.

The Saudis placed multi-million dollar bets on 2016 Hillary to win. They showered the Clintons with petrodollars.

A Daily Caller News Foundation investigation reveals that Bill and Hillary Clinton received at least $100 million from autocratic Persian Gulf states and their leaders, potentially undermining Democratic presidential candidate Hillary’s claim she can carry out independent Middle East policies.

ITEM <><> As a presidential candidate, the amount of foreign cash the Clintons have amassed from the Persian Gulf states is “simply unprecedented,” says national security analyst Patrick Poole. “These regimes are buying access. You’ve got the Saudis, the Kuwaitis, Oman, Qatar and the UAE. There are massive conflicts of interest. It’s beyond comprehension,” Poole told TheDCNF in an interview.

ITEM <><> Overall, the Clinton Foundation has received upwards of $85 million in donations from five Persian Gulf states and their monarchs, according to the foundation’s website. Activist groups have charged the five states — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) — committed numerous human rights abuses.

ITEM<><> Saudi Arabia Funded 20% Of Hillary's Presidential Campaign, / Zerohedge ^ | Jun 14, 2016| Tyler Durden / FR Posted by xzins

(NOTE: It is illegal in the United States for foreign countries to influence the outcome of elections by funding candidates. That appears not to have stopped the Saudis, however.)

“Saudi Arabia provided with full enthusiasm 20 percent of the cost of Hillary Clinton’s election"......the report quoted Saudi Prince Mohammed as having said. According to the US Federal Election commission, over the past two years Clinton has raised a little more than $211.8 million. 20% of this sum is $42.4 million. The Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday that the senior royal was due to fly to Washington where he will meet Obama admin officials to discuss US-Saudi ties. --SNIP--
