Trump cheers Bloomberg implosion, but Biden worries linger
The Associated Press ^ | March 5, 2020 | By JONATHAN LEMIRE and ZEKE MILLER

WASHINGTON - - While Super Tuesday left Democrats with a pair of front-runners President Donald Trump believes he can define and defeat, there are still some private worries in the White House.

There is concern that the Democrats’ messy nomination contest may end up producing an emboldened version of the very man who once worried Trump so much as a foe that it led to the president’s impeachment.

That would be Joe Biden.

Trump and his team have spent the last year trying to lump the Democratic contenders together as left-wing radicals. Biden’s working-class appeal and more pragmatic policy approach aren’t a ready fit with that GOP framing. Trump allies have pointed to Biden’s embrace of liberal positions on gun control, but he steered clear of the more extreme positions of his rivals on health care.

Trump cheered the collapse of Bloomberg, who sank more than $500 million of his own money into his campaign yet performed woefully the first day on the ballot.

But some in Trump’s orbit questioned the bullishness with which the campaign professed to view Biden, believing the former vice president’s universal name ID and likability would make it more difficult to brand him as a socialist. Biden has proved resilient - his resurgence was rivaled by few in modern campaign history - and has consolidated moderate support while showcasing his strength among African American voters, a segment of the electorate the president’s campaign hopes to win over.

“This looks very much like Biden’s race to lose at this point,” said Chris Wilson, a GOP consultant. “He’s clearly strong not just with African Americans, but also with white Democrats outside of the socialist left. The field on the establishment/progressive side of the ballot has cleared for him to run head-to-head with Bernie in the remaining states.”

Zeke “Soros Puppet” Miller is one of the worst and most consistent propagandists that the AssPress uses. Everything he writes is dripping with seething hatred for the President.

Biden worries linger?

I doubt that.

Some 4 dozen politicians/presidential wannabes (2016-2020) have tried to defeat Trump — and they all FAILED.

That line defined the rest of the article for me as well. It is concerning that Sleepy Joe and Bolshevik Bernie are now their party's front runners because of what that says about the people who are voting for them. Biden and his son should obviously both be in prison. The only complication is that Joe is getting so senile that soon he will be considered to be no longer responsible for his actions.

I think Messrs. LeMire and Miller must’ve overindulged on acid off-campus in their formative years.

The White House being worried about SloJoe is about as rational as Trey Gowdy being worried about being outwitted by Eric Swalwell.

OK, AP. You see, it’s like this.

Joe Biden’s brain is TOTALLY FRIED!
He is barely capable of remembering what day it is
let alone defeating Trump.

A first-ballot victory for Biden is hardly a done deal, and I for one half expect that the DNC might want a brokered convention in which neither Sanders nor Biden is nominated.

Who exactly would get the nod I dunno - but the Dems have to think that Biden is just one gaffe away from being unelectable.

If I’m right, buy popcorn futures . . .

Trump hasn’t started campaigning yet.

It actually took two former garden variety 2.0 GPA journalism undergrads to contribute to this creative writing project? Impressive.

Joe “Norma Desmond” Biden?

Joe Gillis: You used to be big.
Norma Desmond: I am big. It's the pictures that got small.
Joe Gillis: I knew there was something wrong with them.

Norma Desmond: We didn't need dialogue. We had face

Norma Desmond: All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up!

Prepare for plenty of homilies about the good old days from Slow Joe in the debate, if there is one.

This is what the AP and Biden should be worrying about.

Fully 12 percent of people who voted for Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries voted for President Trump in the general election. That is according to the data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study — a massive election survey of around 50,000 people.

No need to brand him as a socialist. You brand his policies as socialist. Also, keep putting him in a situation that turns him overtly against Bernie to depress Bernie voters from coming out on mass for him. He’ll also probably have to pick a Bernie light. I feel like Trump can find a way to win no matter who it is. I also feel as if it’ll be close regardless.

So were they just anti-establishment or were they operation chaos? Either way it will be a fun filled election season. It feels like this time around will be a game of Russian roulette... I do not trust the Democrats and the media to not cheat their collective a$$es off to steal this election. They bought their own hype last time around and didn't cheat quite as much as they needed to. I sincerely hope that every swing state will have more scrutiny than ever before.

They were pissed off that Sanders had been shafted by the DNC establishment and wanted to hit back at Hilary. Same thing could happen this year.
