That statistic is troubling. Usually, even in an incumbent year, Reps outnumber Dems in the primaries by almost 2:1. Texas will be close in November, mark my words.

100% agree. I don’t see Trump winning PA, WI, MA or even NC against Biden.

At 91% Reporting Trump has 1,820,954 votes and all Dems together (17 democrats) have 1,894,065 votes.

Trump is basically uncontested in the primaries ... Texas voters know this and probably didn't even bother with the primary vote. November will be a slaughter as Texas Republicans hit the polls.

“Don’t rule out Tulsi .”

Biden wouldn’t stay out of her hair long enough to give a speech....

Biden’s problem are the gaffs. The debates with Trump will be something.

I agree that Biden is much more likable than Hilary Clinton, but he has another problem that hasn’t yet been vetted: he is clearly going senile.

The outlandish things he says, the facts he gets wrong, the garbled speech, the false memories of events that never happened, the flip flops - none of the other Democrats or the media talking heads call him on anything because they like him and feel sorry for him.

He said 150,000,000 people (half the US population) died from gun violence last year, and not a peep! In fact, they said he had a great debate performance! He started to quote the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence, and then completely lost his train of thought! He does that quite often, and looks around, confused, and asks “why did I stop?”

It’s still possible Warren or Sanders may take off the gloves, now that Biden is a contender, but certainly Trump and the Republicans aren’t going to give him a pass.

Biden is still capable of moments of lucidity, but these episodes are way too frequent to ignore.

I believe that even many dyed-in-the-wool Democrats, people who absolutely adore him, will think it a cruelty to thrust a senile old man into the meat-grinder job that is the Presidency.

After eight years in the White House, many a healthy vibrant President has come out looking old and beat. Joe Biden is already old and beat.

Are there that many Democrat voters who are heartless enough to sacrifice good old Uncle Joe, just so they can invoke the 25th to have him removed and replaced?

Sooooo.....Democrats seem to have nominated the most corrupt, creepy, brain-addled gaffe machine imaginable. Good job!

Yes but look at who’s running. There are two other candidates getting over 200,000 votes apiece. Warren and Bloomberg are two popular candidates that a lot of people like and are getting a lot of votes too. In 2016, Hillary and Burnie were the only two viable ones. If Warren and Bloomberg were out of the picture, Biden’s total would be higher.

Instead of making too much out of Biden’s total votes, you should be noting that he is prevailing over not one, not two, but THREE OTHER popular candidates.

You have to realize that many republican voters would not go vote because it was a Dem primary and Trump is uncontested!!!

I anticipated your response and replied to it pre-emptively in my original post #41.

Well, there's this fact as well: Early voting then candidates who drop out but still get counted. In Texas, a lot of votes still went to Amy and Mayor Pete.

I think the bigger picture is not that there's so many viable this time (Clinton Sanders last time as you pointed out) but the split of votes amongst all of these is because NONE of them are very viable. Joe is just the least non-viable. Biden will go higher now though. Democrat viability and general election viability are two different tings as well. We will see what happens.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the debates are carefully scripted, or they simply don’t have them. Trump said last night he’d mention Biden’s foreign business deals.
