Extra voting machines brought in as voters across Texas face long lines

Voters in Texas remained in line for hours after polls closed to cast their ballots on Super Tuesday in a state whose hefty delegate count made it one of the top battlegrounds of the night.

Reports on Twitter indicated that lines were estimated to be several hours long at some precincts, including one at Texas Southern University (TSU), a historically black public college in Houston.

Dozens of extra voting machines were sent to TSU and some other locations, though the slow pace appeared to leave many waiting or giving up entirely.

The long voting lines come as state officials have shut down hundreds of polling sites in recent years, with one study indicating that as many as 540 poll sites in areas of strong minority population growth were closed.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Vice President Joe Biden appeared to be vying for the top spot in the state Tuesday evening, with 228 delegates up for grabs in Texas.

I voted in Texas tonight and there was a long line but not as long as in the photo.
Anyway as we were standing in line a Poll worker came outside the building and asked if there were any republicans in line and there were so he took us into the building and there was a different section for ballot Republican or Democrat. We cast our ballots and we went outside still a lot of people in line all democrats I assume.

It was weird.

How do you figure photographs of long lines of breathing people are the “cemetary vote”?

In Texas, President Trump got 1,838,000 votes in his uncontested race. Not all those people in line were Democrats.

As I keep on saying. This will be an election that will break the records from 2016. The democrats will bring out the dead to vote and we MUST do the same or face the reality that the USA as we know it is in the dustbin.

They’re saying there was a HUGE turnout for D’s.

I find that a little odd. Bernie has his zombies but outside that I don’t think the majority of D’s like him at all, although that doesn’t mean they’re energized for any of the other candidates either.

My fear is there’s some “vote fraud machine” that was put in motion in favor of Biden by the establishment, also a trial run for Nov.

Sad to be motivated by fear alone. Unity of 1%? Absurd and stupid.

My polling place was not busy at all. two people in front of me (for two machines), one was done by the time I finished checking in. In and Out.

Course, I went at 0800 in the morning before work, so I'm guessing most of those people in line were still in bed at that time :p
